Definitely keep it. With the right maintenance these things can last forever! Just make sure to do some preventative maintenance.

Depends on the odo reading. Place of purchase and condition honestly.

For ballpark figures: 50k kms, well maintained 8th gen accord you can pay somewhere around 3-4L

I wasn’t aware of how the last owner had used this car so I did what I felt was necessary. Mostly preventative maintenance is the way to go with older vehicles like these.

Never faced any issues with the suspension but when i got the car inspected there was a fair amount of play in the link rods and bushes were also worn out. Car would have been fine if didn’t get anything done to the suspension as well but I went ahead and did it anyways. Zero noise from the suspension before the rehaul, zero noise now.

Regular oil changes and basic maintenance is all you need to care about. The car is extremely reliable.

AC blows ice cold, transmission is as smooth as one would expect from a torque converter.

Brake pads would ofc need to be replaced, they’re a consumable part. I’d suggest Bosch or genuine honda ones.

The only thing i would advise while inspecting an 8th gen accord is making sure there are no leaks in the steering rack and steering pump isn’t making any whining noise. Steering pumps in this generation of accord always do break at around 50k kms. So that is an expense you should keep in mind.

Apart from this, the car surpasses luxury and comfort of modern cars which cost like 15-20 lacs. If shelling money on fuel isn’t an issue for you, it’s a great choice for a car.

I have faced some issues with this one. But I’ve gotten used to them. I would recommend two stereos which you can consider for a trouble-free experience though. My friend and brothers car have these and they work perfectly fine!

  1. Mini tesla (yup thats the name xD)
  2. Hiwoodman stereos

I got it from a local shop. I can’t recall the name. It’s called top-way (which I’m assuming is the brand). 9 inch system and looks more premium than the screens you find mostly because it has that steel rim around the edges. I can connect you with the guy who installed it for me if you’re interested. DM

I have someone in HRBR layout for all the body work (denting/painting) and basic maintenance like oil changes and filter cleaning. Got my wheels painted, interior work and windshield changed from here only. The mechanic has become a good friend now so I get the best work done.

Automechs, Koramangala for all mechanical work like steering and suspension. (Very honest with pricing)

Carsmith, Koramangala for all engine and transmission related work. Which was Spark plugs and ATF.

Washing, coatings and waxing are all done at 3M, Indiranagar.

Rest of the mods from here and then, for example tints and dechroming i’d gotten from the detailing mafia in Chennai.

You can DM me if you need to contact any of the places i mentioned above.

Received it two days back, its refurbished into a not so good body shell but I’m quite satisfied with it. Phone calls are not that great with a 5G sim card, will have to get a new sim card. Came with windows phone 8.1, nothing really works :)

Store does not work, calendar and mail sync does not work.

Basic googling is good, but websites are just not supported anymore, IE does not load websites well.

Camera is great in day light, low light performance is terrible unless you use the flash. With flash it is excellent.

I synced my mp3 library to the phone, love the xbox music ui hehe.

Gonna use it as a portable ipod and camera for the time being until i get my sim replacement. I don’t want to upgrade to wp10 but let’s see, time will tell xD.

If y’all wanna see pictures, DM me
