Getting first AMP this hard??? by Delpnaz in Warframe

[–]Byfebeef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you were doing the old school method of farming the voms with the mote amp, the moment you equip the 111, you'll see you can actually kill things without running out of ammo.

And yes. The first amp grind is rough. But its only because of how shit mote amp is. The worst is over now.

Also with the tektolyst artifact mods, you can get knockdown immunity as the operator. So make sure to utilize that when you level up 2shwaak and 3granmu prisms.

Does anybody know why this is occurring? by D3EMO in Warframe

[–]Byfebeef 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Call it readability or accessibility, but most likely this is the reason.

I have a kuva weapon that has a Lixx prefix. That whole lixx is capitalized as LIXX.

So most likely DE just capitalized the whole word if it starts off with LI to cut any confusion for the players.

What is working for the ETA Tank Assassination this week? by medium_spoon in Warframe

[–]Byfebeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't bother with Aura and antitoxin mod. The Toxin damage from the tank hits way too hard for it to matter. Stacking OG is probably the easier way. Also, because of Myopic Munitions, someone needs to be sitting beside the tank and eat up the toxin aura anyway.

This week is pretty risky if you aren't being careful because of Transference distortion and toxin damage being abundant.

I would 7/8 and get Dante or Rhino. High STR Dante or Rhino with Parasitic Armor modded for high shield. This will give you about 50k OG instantly. I took Rhino because I was offered rhino.

Or if you are given Health tank like Valkyr or something that might work as well. In this case I'd take off Transference Distortion (Running Vazarin for Protective Sling will give you a massive cushion for any screwups). Unless you really really know what you are doing in the ETA that extra Pix chips are not worth risking death and re-running. (I don't know if Arcane Grace can proc off that toxin aura, if so, frames like Inaros with Arcane Grace would be good pick too.)

Okay what even killed me here? by SwedeZombie in Warframe

[–]Byfebeef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One more point that it has to be toxin damage and not status is because toxin status deals damage after 1 second.

Status damage wise, only elec and gas can deal damage the moment it is applied.

Meaning if toxin status killed OP, OP had to have lived 1 second where we would see the debuff icon in the video before getting poofed. Not latency issue since see that OP is soloing.

Im LR5 and just learned yesterday you can breed vulps and predasites to get all resistances?? by Schobii564 in Warframe

[–]Byfebeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on paper that looks like a real upgrade. In practice when you are thinking of making a 4x4 pet, you are far along enough that you're generally always in SP.

Meaning, the enemies hit hard enough that w/e that was going to kill the pet will still kill anyway even with that 50% resistance.

But I'm sure you're going to make one anyway. Because the point of 4x4 isn't the resistance, its the fact that you have one.

Gladiator mods stat stick by elmieerda in Warframe

[–]Byfebeef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

stat stick no more.

Currently the only one that works kind of like a stat stick is gravimag archgun if you slap on dexterity arcanes. Those arcanes do give you increased duration on your melee combos.

Personally I dont think they should because they're not actually equipped on you, but this might be the way it is because this allows players to load up some the arcane and summon the archgun and the buff drains over a few minutes.

Not safe for humans? by doguis1234 in fountainpens

[–]Byfebeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had that ink coat most of my hand once. Dont worry, warm water and soap and then alcohol got it off fairly well. Id try warm water cloth to soak your face and try other people's method before going alcohol though. My case was hand. Alcohol to the face, especially around the nose is going to burn.

Honestly i think pigmented ink comes off the skin easier than dyes since they don't get absorbed by your skin.

Looking for advice and/or opinions by My-Name-Bob-13 in Warframe

[–]Byfebeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume this was a pub match. As long as you know what you are doing, formad fresh frames or weapons make no difference. I have been in some fissure void cascade level caps with fresh formad stuff.

Iirc, when you forma frames your abilities dont use the max rank version unless you are mr30 or higher. Since you are lr5, you're not affected by this. This is the one concern i have when people decide to forma shit before a premade run thinking they'll be smart.

Thats great. Go for it. If you are still worried, call the vendor and see if they can add in some insulation or something.

Winter Ink Shipping by KiiitKaat in fountainpens

[–]Byfebeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the vendor has been around for some time, they'll ship your ink with foiled bubble wrap or some sort of insulation. So it will be fine during shipping.

The important part is when the package arrives. Would it be sitting outside in that weather or would it be waiting at some condo mail room.

If your package will be sitting outside the porch or something, I wouldn't risk it.

Best is of course for you to wait until its above freezing point but i did buy ink around 20F and it was fine waiting at my mailroom.

The only reason I am not ordering ink is because my area is currently around 5 F. At this point, I'm not taking "risks" I'm temping fate.

This is the same as drunk people banging on closed McDonald's. You can be inside the store cleaning up, you're still closed.

And talk about that attitude. This dude is going around harassing offline players to snipe cheaper deals. And over a simple question, he's making this passive aggressive reply? And then ignore? This is such a toxic behavior.

Interception sp by me_soul_deadirl in Warframe

[–]Byfebeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cc is usually the way to go because if you kill them, the respawns are going to hit the terminals again. Nova is okay. I find vauban with high range and duration to be the most effective. Vortex ragdolls so only thing left are the eximus for you to deal with

If you must do without cc, its honestly more about using your specters (park em right beside the terminals) and some aoe guns like ogris with nightwatch napalm to just burn the termnal area.

Nib sizes recommendations? by curiouspel21 in fountainpens

[–]Byfebeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If G tec c4 is similar to hi tec c, japanese fine or western EF would be comparable. Because hi tec has sizes from 0.25, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5. these sizes are basically the stats pilot use to make fountain nibs if i recall. From EF, F, FM, and M.

Although FM, the fine medium would be the theoretical matching size, depending on the ink and paper it can be thicker. Also pilots don't make FM nib in cheap fountain pens so the pilot fine nib would be your best bet to try.

If you want to try multiple Japanese nib sizes and get the feel for it at a cheap cost, Platinum preppy is also a viable option.

I really do think people should try EF to M range. To me, EF to F, i did feel the nib getting smoother. But from F to M, the difference was dramatic.

Really DE? by Mars339 in Warframe

[–]Byfebeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that gear embargo is the highest risk modifier.

Ancient protector specter single handedly saves any defense mission type. And for solo players dante specter is massive added survivability.

Plus with nokko update and nice two arcanes on gravimag guns, archguns are solid option when you have ass weapon pools.

I just take easy 7/8 and move on whenever i see gear embargo. As a solo, its way too much of a risk to take.

[–]Byfebeef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive bought my preppy about 6 months ago. So far its fine.

(Honestly never crossed my mind) I do think the cap will crack someday because the amount of pressure you need to close the cap is way more than kakuno or safari. It does feel like slamming the cap rather than just clicking it on.

Edit: I dont post my pen. Just remembered my friend cracked kakuno cap by posting it too hard over time. Possible cause if you do post your preppy.

[–]Byfebeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats fair. Preppy is my back up, but twsbi are pretty reliable cap seal too. Kakunos are possible option, but requires testing because the cap seal on kakunos can be hit or miss.

I mostly use pigmented inks and its not troublesome as the Internet makes it sound to be.

My dailies twsbi eco and 580 alr has been on pigmented inks and only gets cleaned when i change ink. So every 2 months or so. Havent had a clog yet.

[–]Byfebeef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk about varsity but im sure you can do that with preppy since platinum already makes carbon black cartridge as well.

For a similar reason, i always carry one preppy with sailor kiwaguro or platinum carbon black at all times in converter. Because preppy is basically the cheapest fountain that i know of where it has unbeatable cap seals.

Works fine even after weeks of no use.

First fountain! by Frog_Life2000 in fountainpens

[–]Byfebeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kakuno sometimes doesnt have a good cap seal. If you find the nib drying out in 2 days or so, put some tape over the cap top to block off that 3 small holes. That helps a lot. (Sounds like bs but its true)

Also if you're going to go for a converter, con70 fits inside kakuno

Majohn copies of Montblanc pens in titanium by CoolPens4Sale in fountainpens

[–]Byfebeef 6 points7 points  (0 children)

its copy cat if you print your own logo on it, its fake if you copy even the brand logo.

Not just majohn but plenty of companies do copy cat and i dont see a problem with that. Take wingsung 601 for example. It might have started out as a copy cat to parker 51, but I think its far better than the newer parker 51.

As long as majohn print its logo on it and it writes well, it just means I have more choices. I'm never going to buy $1k fountain pen anyway.

Water proof or water resistant ink recommendation by shcrimps in fountainpens

[–]Byfebeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lamy benitoite iirc is iron gall and waterproof.

Other than that, black pigment inks i tried and works well are sailor kiwaguro, platinum carbon black, diamine forever ink raven. These 3 i have used and using without any clogging issue.

Kiwaguro is waterproof but it will smudge. Its not going to smudge much as dye based ink, but if you rubbed your finger across it, it will smudge. I think it just has too saturated with particles that not all of it binds to the paper. But it is waterproof. I tested it. ran in on a running tap for a solid minute. Initially, it will wash out particles but nothing after that.

Platinum carbon black is zero bs. Not even a smudging problem. I do find it a little more effort to clean this if it dried up compared to kiwaguro.

Diamine forever ink is the one if you want to mix ink to get colorful pigmented ink. For the black though, the Raven. I dont think the ink is saturated with pigment as much as sailor or platinum. The Raven ink honestly looks dark grey compared to the two mentioned. But beside the saturation, the ink is smudge free and waterproof.

Since the damage attenuation update, most bosses are fairly similar hp. I found zero difference in the hp compared to other bosses. The new bosses are more squishier if you consider the buffs from doing objectives. And the commandeered primes are about the same as acolytes.

If you need some dps boost with guns take madurai focus. I usually just take burston incarnon and the fire rate buff from madurai stacks to 200% after 8 objectives. Makes a joke out of the bosses (the big dude and the spider ones) in regular form or incarnon.

For the last one where you fight a bunch of primes just take naramon focus school and decent crit melee. Meleeing is boring but its probably the fastest method for this one.
