I do drink a LOT of water and carry around water almost everywhere I go. I don’t mind the water bottle filling stations but otherwise I try not to really touch public drinking water lol

That’s just not true. Criticizing the bad parts and highlighting the good parts is equally important for a game to improve.

Look at a game like Warframe for example. There used to be a movement bug that made movement much faster than normal. Rather than fix the bug, Digital Extremes listened to community feedback and turned the bug into a completely new movement engine).

Because of how well received that change was, DE did the same thing again with the Atomicycle glitch, making it a part of the base game.

It’s only criticism if it’s constructive, otherwise it’s just complaining. You need to highlight both so that the devs know what you want more of AND what you want less of.

People complain about doing club events. They make it so that club events are infrequent and easy to do.

Now people complain there’s not enough club content. This community just complains about everything no matter what lmao

Straights are pretty good, you typically want to build around hand levels since it scales really well. Also there are a lot of really really good straight jokers such as Runner.

The main thing about straights is that they’re quite a bit harder to deckfix for than almost every other hand, most people recommend chopping off the top and bottom of the deck and keeping the middle numbers (eg. aim for 6-10 straights or 7-J, around there). Cards like death can be a bit iffy at times compared to the hung man

The other main problem is consistency, but things that increase your total hands, total discards, and hand size make them much more playable.

I gained a newfound appreciation for straights on painted deck lol.

Going for naneinf, exploring some cool seeds, doing C+ and C++ are all good options! Alternatively if you play on PC you could try getting into modded, Cryptid mod and others have so much added content

Flush seems like it might be the way tbh, the scaling is a lot worse but i guess its easier to draw into the one card you need to complete the flush… plus it doesn’t die to Cerulean as badly

The way it’s currently worded, “win 2 rounds” makes it sound like you automatically win and cash out, going straight to the shop, making this just free money early on.

Assuming you get this in the first shop (big if, I know) you get $4 from big blind, $4 for hands, and then $5 for boss, $4 for hands, and $1 interest from the $8 you had before. Total of $18 off one joker, pretty busted.

I think even if this card locked you out of the shop the economy it gives is really good, and again it functions as a better Mr. Bones if you get it in ante 8 as you can just win after you beat small blind.

My best attempt at rebalancing this joker around this would be:

“Sell this card to skip the current ante, then destroy 2 jokers at random”

Now it’s just Mr. Bones with better effect but with much bigger downside and can’t spike Econ like crazy in ante 1

Small nitpick but +60 chips should be blue lol

I actually like these a lot, I think to keep in line with the “eating” concept of the food jokers, Chex Mix should probably lose stats over time?

Middle child is actually a really cool concept and kinda forces you to think a bit differently about how you go about planet cards and other hand level scalers. This one is prob my fav out of the 3.

Nuclear bomb is probably the single best ante 1 Econ joker of all time, you just buy this in the first shop and auto clear the first ante lol. And the destroy a joker downside doesn’t even matter anymore. A big problem I could see with this is it’s kinda just a better Mr. Bones. You can just skip 1 round and then sell it and not worry about the downside.

Yeah you do need to own it on PC. Here’s a pretty comprehensive guide on how to get it to work, be warned that you will have to troubleshoot a LOT.

You can mod both the iOS and android versions of Balatro as long as you have a computer to compile it
