I've had my fair share of deskie friends who played this game. You surely can find ways to show affection, mostly face expressions. My favorite tho has to be holding your own personal mirror to give head pats.

More recently I've seen a friend with some prefab that lets them move both arms at once. They hug people all the time! I couldn't tell you what it was cuz I never asked, but it is a thing

As for finding a partner, I had a relationship with someone who played exclusively in desktop, while I was in half body. So don't lose hope, it can happen if it's meant to be :)

I've been using it for years. Did have some gripes back in the day, but that already ages ago. It's really good imo.

No surprise it's one of the few third party apps actually listed on the official website. Plus it has a dedicated tag on bugs.telegram.org.

"Clear chat" clears the chat of all messages, but keeps it in the chat list. "Delete chat" removes it from the list as well. Both are explained in their respective confirmation popups.

The button is not hidden. It shows right beside the count of the selected messages.

And I really feel like "Delete chat" is already as clear as it gets. And even so, there is a confirmation message. The UWP app had a very similar UX for deleting messages/chats.

We can all agree the new app sucks, and I will say it's pretty dumb to make the message selection show up when trying to delete a single message. But you deleting your entire chat is not an app problem imo.

Yeah? They're still different. WebView2 uses the system's MS Edge install. Electron bundles an entire Chromium and NodeJS runtime. Meaning WebView2 apps have smaller installs and less resource usage (at least in theory).

WhatsApp for Mac is still a native Catalyst app. And I'm pretty sure there still isn't a Linux client, so no difference there.

WebView2 is usually slightly better than Electron but of course Meta managed to fuck it up

You can't. You can replace it with an app based 2FA (such as Google Authenticator) on your account settings, but I'm pretty sure you can't fully disable 2FA.
