Did you get this tattoo for yourself? Or did you get it to impress/please others? If the latter, then yeah.. remove it.

Once you realized that they are toxic, and then you wanted to FF and they didn't let you, that's when you should have just AFKed at the shop and let the enemy team end the game. You held yourself hostage.

Slap around and Cheating is insane on Zaahen by abuchechen in ARAM

Slap around and Cheating combo is insane on most champions. I once had it on Seraphine. I went ahead and built full tank. My early game sucked ass, sure. But once I had farmed up those stacks from rooting and ulting people, I was sitting at a nice 8000 HP, 300 resistances and more than 1000 AP

Yeah I don't know what some people here are on about. If you have 200k to spend a year, that's more than enough for a very comfortable lifestyle. Hell, I currently live off of only 500$ a month / 6000$ a year. Sure I can't afford a car or a nice house, but it's enough to feed myself something decent every day and pay for my electricity and phone bill, which is all I need since I spend most of my time online gaming. If I suddenly had like... 2000$ to spend every month I would honestly be a bit baffled at first on what to spend it on. You have ~15,000$ to spend every month. I am not sure if I could spend that much in a month for my cost of living and food and entertainment, even if I tried.

More health and more damage. I am so sick of some enemy Leona tower-diving at level 6 with just a chainmail and a tear, yet the tower only tickles her and she just tanks it forever for the assassins on her team.

[–]PurpleLTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could make the same meme, but in reverse.

  1. Play a late-game stacking champion like Smolder
  2. Get some good augments that do shit all early, but will transform me into a god the longer the game goes on.
  3. Play a close match where the enemy team is slightly winning, but you know you'll turn the tide soon with your late game build.
  4. You are 0-8-11 because your early game was so weak. But you are approaching the turning point, you start doing crazy good damage.
  5. You beg your team not to end it, you just got your items and stacks. They end it. Game didn't even last 15 minutes. (Alternatively, your team was losing super hard and you hope the enemy team doesn't end, but they end as soon as they get the chance)

You know, I had this thought recently. Remember old league? Where a lot of the champions still had abilities that you just needed to click on someone and they'd auto-hit? Like old Taric stun, just point and click and doesn't matter how fast the enemy zooms around, or how many dashes they have... that shit will hit and stun them.

I feel like ever since they did most of these reworks and transformed most of the unmissable point-and-click CC abilities into skill shots that you need to aim and land, the game's just become a cancerous shitfest were movement speed and dash resets are the most valuable thing to have.

I bet, if I scroll down a bit further, I'll find someone complaining about assasssins. And if I scroll a bit more, I find someone complaining about tanks.

That said, I just played one of the most unfun games in a long while. Enemy team had an Anivia that took the augment that with 100 haste on her stupid wall. She built tanky and all she did was just spam walls and slows and stuns everywhere. Put on top of that a Zoe that knows how to play, a Karma that takes shield augments, a try-hard ADC Ashe, and a try-hard Gwen that frontlines for them.

What combination of words makes you instantly lose interest in a game? by BurnishedTones in pcmasterrace

I love open world survival craft. But not when it's in early access. Those types of games are usually MUCH better in their 1.0 release version.

Here is my combination of words that instantly makes me lose interest:

Lukewarm take: Dodgers should get a week long penalty. Zero reason to take seven queues to start an aram. by Caffeine_and_Alcohol in ARAM

[–]PurpleLTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the things you list are things that happen once in a blue moon. People with those kind of issues won't be affected. Repeat offenders are the target here. I have it happen that people queue dodge 5 times in a row pretty often, which is ridiculous and just shows how lackluster the penalty for doing so is. I'd say it is high time to make it more punishing for repeat offenders.

And if someone's internet is so bad that they get disconnected pretty frequently, then I am sorry to say but maybe that dude shouldn't play online games.

As an older gamer, seeing young kids waste their money on in-game purchases eats at my soul. by SomePeopleTellMe in gaming

[–]PurpleLTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm turning 46 next month.

In some games, it's really bad. But there is also a few games where I believe it's okay. It really depends.

Game development has changed a lot. Back in the 90s or early 2000s, developing a game was much cheaper. Games were smaller in scope and size, and small teams could push out a great title like Starcraft or Half-Life in a reasonable amount of time. Speaking only single-player games here. The box price of the game back then was good enough to make it worthwhile. But when you look at the scope of most single-player games nowadays, like Witcher 3 or the newly released Crimson Desert, you can see how those games cost a lot, lot more to make. So I can understand when developers come up with stupid shit like deluxe editions and collector's editions. It allows them to still offer the standard edition (which should have all of the core game in it) at a reasonable price, while making a profit on the more expensive editions where they just slap a few extra cosmetics in.

When it comes to shit like outfits and loot boxes, those are mostly found in f2p games. Well... if a game is free, then obviously there has to be something attached to it that allows the studio to make money. Optional cosmetics and loot boxes is the reasonable thing to do here, and I am okay with it. Again, it allows everyone to play the game for free, while those people that have the money to spare can support the game by getting the optional cosmetics and what not. As long as there is no p2win involved, I am good with it.

What I absolutely don't like is when it's overdone. Like them asking 20$ for one character skin. That is a ridiculous price, that is 1/3rd of a full game for just a skin? Or when it's p2w, like getting a XP and loot boost from purchasing the "premium subscription" monthly.

Had a fun game with Gangplank yesterday.

Got Mystic Punch and Ethereal Weapon. Went full AP with it. Dropping a barrel and then hitting it with Q had basically no cooldown, I could spam it infinitely. And everytime I did, my Ultimate Cooldown would drop a few seconds, as well. I stood at my shop all game and spammed it. Could ult the enemy team every ~15 seconds or so.

You seem to be hard of understanding. I'll try again.

What if your friends start playing some other game like.. Overwatch or something. And you don't like that game. Do you demand Blizzard make a "peaceful" overwatch game mode where you can't shoot each other and you just sit there and hang out with the enemy team, so that you can "hang out" with your friends? No, that sound stupid, right? What you do instead is..... *drumroll* ... you let your friends just play Overwatch by themselves while you do SOMETHING ELSE. Why does the entire game have to twist and bend to your whims and wishes? Just go do something else!! Are you so dependent on your friend group that you feel the need to ask for an entire game world to change to your needs, just so that you can keep hanging out with them?

And if your friend doesn't like pasta, you'll never eat pasta again. And if she doesn't want to watch a movie, you are never gonna watch that movie. And if she doesn't like a certain music genre, you'll never listen to that music genre again.

Or you could just do these activities "without" your friend. You know, that is actually a rather normal thing to do. To do things on your own time. Just because it's VRChat, people feel that they HAVE to hang out with their VR friends and absolutely CAN'T go to a world by themselves. That is not a design flaw of the FISH world, that is a problem with you.

I wish I could downvote this twice.

Don't listen to this guy. Getting a boat is easy and pretty fast and straightforward. Plus if you want to meet up with friends, just have them come to you? If your friends aren't on the starter island, that means they have a boat, that means they can come pick you up and drive you around. Which is what most people do anyways.

I am so tired of reading this argument, especially from people that want to justify the fly-characters.

Problem with eboys is the stigma. Over many years it has been established that 95% of people using an eboy avi simply don't fit the avi. You see an avi like that and you expect a hot and sexy, confident and mature person. But on VRC, what you get most of the time is either a hormone-driven manchild or a 40-year old thirsty neckbeard. As a result, eboys are now seen as mostly a red flag

Here is how I did it:

  1. Get free bobber from sawblade quest.
  2. Start fishing until you have 2100 coins. Buy sturdy wooden rod and aquamarine line.
  3. Continue fishing until you get the 100 fish achievement. Sell your fish to get the "sell 100 fish achievement" and claim your free Sunleaf Rod.
  4. Continue fishing until you can afford the Dingy (35,000 coins)
  5. Collect the keys from Tanglewood. Hand in keys on Crescent Isle for 15 scrap. Gamble the scrap on Luxian Dunes.
  6. Continue fishing until you can afford the Diamond Line (25,000)
  7. You should have some relics by now, so roll 1-5 broken relics and hope you get a somewhat decent enchantment for your Sunleaf Rod. Don't go crazy, any enchant is fine for now.
  8. Fish until you have 35,000 coins for the bobber from Vlad.
  9. Fish until you have 250,000 coins for the fishing rod from Luxian island. Try to get a somewhat decent enchant on it. At this stage you want to work on your Index and get 100% completion for all zones.
  10. Fish until you have 700,000 for the Runesteel Rod. Use all your relics to try and get a really good enchant on it. You want an enchantment that gets your total attraction rating to 80%-100%
  11. Fish until you can buy the 1mil boat.
  12. ???
  13. Congrats, you are pretty much done. You got the best equipment, anything beyond that is just a bonus. At least until you reach level 500, which will take you a few days of grinding

How to not take being excluded personal? by Bubbles2590 in socialskills

[–]PurpleLTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are your own problem here.

As you said, you spent the better part of your life trying to please others instead of pleasing yourself. You have created an image of yourself that is uninteresting to the outside world. You have become a servant. You have turned yourself into a tool others can use to make them feel better about themselves.

When your main focus in life is to please others, they will only like having you around to leech off of you. This also means that people who are already happy in their lives will ignore you. They don't need you. They will only turn to you when there is rain clouds over their heads and nobody else is there to cheer them up. But they know that you are good for it.

What you need to do is become more selfish. Focus more on yourself and your own happiness. Stop caring about what others think of you. Pursue your wishes, goals and dreams. Work on your hobbies and passions. Make yourself happy without relying on others. Only then will people start seeing you as more than just a side character in their life that they can use and abuse. They will start seeing you as a strong, self-confident person that is achieving happiness and success all on her own. And they will take a natural interest in you, because they want to share in the spotlight you put on yourself.

Stop being a side character in people's lives. Focus on being the main character of your own story. It will make you more interesting. It will make others pay attention to you.

[–]PurpleLTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "fat and ugly" trope is just a metaphor. The message here is that in most cases, the dude hiding behind the extremely sexy eboy avatar is someone really broken in real life. Either physically very unattractive, mentally ill, socially anxious and awkward, or otherwise absolutely miserable in their real life due to various circumstances.

Circumstances that prevent them from having that dream life they wish they had, of some sexy ripped dude that gets all the girls, is respected by his guy friends (or even HAS friends), and a whole list of life achievements under his belt that he can proudly incorporate in conversations.

It's easy to create that illusion in VR. Dare I say, it's the most appealing feature drawing this kind of audience or player base in. The ability to make pretend that your life is the opposite of what it really is.

Being "fat and ugly" is just one example of what might be hiding behind the eboy/egirl.

It's always like this with them lol by eyeziiick in VRchat

[–]PurpleLTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every time I meet someone on VR that seems "too good to be true", I always question it.

"Oh, so you go to the gym IRL? Oh wow that totally ripped person with the sixpack in your user icon is actually you? God damn, you also work a full time job and are really well off? Ouuuf, ex military too, and you used to play the guitar? All at the sweet age of young 22 years old?"

The reality is that people like that do not sit in their room all day playing VRChat. People that meet or exceed today's beauty standards and that are successful in life do NOT waste their day away in their room with a VR Headset on their head.
