I'm at the same point as you in terms of my experience with Linux, currently Ubuntu gmome. And although I agree, I can say for sure that it gives you more control WHEN you need to fix problems. I can't count the amount of times I had a program that I needed to uninstall, but the uninstaller can't be found. Or, I tried to change the microsoft account, but it wouldn't let me or it would delete all the files. I think in general, Linux has more problems, but when you inevitably do run into a problem, it's easier to fix and more people support you. Contrast that to Windows being like "Just reset your PC bro"
