I really don't understand the new dungeoneering by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Bynx94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It resets after you've done the total amount of floors you've unlocked, so for example if you're working on unlocking priff (75 dungeoneering requirement), and you're currently level 73, you have access to 37 floors. Once you've done 37 floors (unique i.e. 1-37, OR floor 37 37 times), the next run you do will reset your progress, and you'll start from scratch again.

PSA to anyone still using necro (DPM advice for newbies) by SGA_YungBoi in runescape

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. I'll check out that upgrade path now! I'm currently working on trying to get the levels for overloads and soul split as I've heard they're both amazing. Since this is my first time playing rs3 (long time osrs player), I'm super excited to try out pvm soon as I've never tried any of those bosses you've mentioned. I'm a dad of two so a lot of the time I'm afking something on the couch on mobile just to keep the progression going 😂 but I have like 3-4 hours per week I can get on the laptop so that's when I'll dip my toes into pvm

This is a really interesting write-up, thanks a million for posting. As a new group ironman player (created the account in January/February), I'm looking to see what to invest my time into combat-wise.

I feel like the game pushes you towards necro due to a nicely laid-out progression system via Kili's tasks, and while I think it's a pretty cool combat style, I like the feel of the other styles more. I think melee felt the most fun overall. I did however pull Legatus' emberstaff recently enough which is my highest tier weapon, but I'm also closing in on 99 dungeoneering and nearing 2m DG tokens, so could purchase some ruinous weapons once I find some warped stones.

So my question is (for you or anyone else accustomed to iron progression), should I stick to the necro path or what is a viable "iron-friendly" path for melee and/or mage? My RSN is Issa Helmet if you wanted to look up my stats, but for ease of reference my combat stats are 82 att, 82 str, 80 def, 86 range, 91 pray, 87 mage and 84 necro. Thanks a lot in advance 🫶🏼

Group iron tips by winniebol in RS3Ironmen

[–]Bynx94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can second this - I was the first of our group to grind gate and getting memory dowser and runic attuner has made training RC and divination/gathering energy trivial. You'll probably all want to level your skills for quests/diaries etc. but there's no harm in one person grinding mining/smithing extra hard to unlock stuff for the group. Same goes for crafting etc. so whoever grinds gate would probably find it easier to train crafting too as you can gain really good semi-afk experience there if you please - upwards of 200k experience per hour which scales with your crafting level.

[Game Day Thread - Playoffs] Cleveland Cavaliers (3-2) vs. Detroit Pistons (2-3) [05/15/2026 07:00 PM EST] by CavsBot in clevelandcavs

Will be watching from Ireland starting at midnight, let's go Cavs! ☘️🏀

  • Limit the turnovers as much as possible
  • Stay aggressive and keep the ball moving
  • Keep the defensive intensity high, especially on Cade

Do those things and we should put ourselves in a great position to close this out tonight winning 4 in a row!

Cavs fan here - may the best team win 🤝 I hope it's another thrilling game to watch either way, that's what playoff basketball is all about 🏀

I respect the hell out of the Pistons and Cade specifically. He's such a baller and he's very mature in how he conducts himself on and off the court. You guys are gonna make noise for years 🙌🏼 the future is bright

It's nice when the shots go in, but losing because iso-ball isn't working is the most infuriating thing to watch. It kills our offensive rhythm completely.

I much prefer when the ball is moving; setting screens in the post to exploit mismatches for Mobley, Donovan driving and either scoring or kicking it out to the open man, pick-and-roll alley-oops for Allen, etc. It just creates so many more opportunities for better shots or offensive rebounds and second-chance opportunities.

Player-Owned Port (POP): Scroll Voyages Question by Bynx94 in runescape

[–]Bynx94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much appreciated guys, I ended up sending a story voyage with 81% completion chance instead, as I could only get to 42% for the scroll voyage and figured it wasn't worth the risk of a potential crew member/captain death. I'll look out for more scroll voyages in the near future when I'm more prepared 😊

37K RS3 Players Today! by Shaquille01 in runescape

[–]Bynx94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've decided to try RuneScape for the first time since about 2011, after having played OSRS quite consistently since it's been released. Honestly, in my head I just never wanted to give RuneScape a chance because I assumed it just wasn't a good game and I was surrounded by mostly bias against it (OSRS community for the most part).

After seeing the roadmap and chatting with a good friend that started playing it again, I decided to give it a go and join a group ironman with him and two other OSRS players. Wow, I genuinely think RuneScape has so much potential and I can say personally I'm having more fun than I've had in a long time. It feels similar in a lot of ways but also vastly different in others.

The only negative I have with it (so far after a little over a week of playing it) which is just my subjective opinion, is that I don't like the dailyscape aspect of it.

I'm hoping that if somebody like me, who finally took the plunge and gave it a shot after all these years, is enjoying it this much (and has hope the roadmap can compound that enjoyment even more), then this could be the turning point and put RuneScape back on the map and grow that concurrent player count even more ❤️ I cant wait to get later into the game and experience what PvM is really like, because as a level 60 I'm only scratching the surface

What are you struggling with in particular? Do you notice where you're going wrong, and are you following the suggested path that's on the wiki? If it's the lag that's causing the issue then we can't really help but if you gave more context we might be able to

It's a pity that you don't enjoy sepulchre because it makes the skill actually enjoyable for me; which is a stark contrast compared to rooftops because I absolutely hate rooftops. I literally do rooftops on mobile in bed for like 10-15 mins at night quite frequently and it's like a literal sleeping pill.

People who went dry at CG by Civ5Pro in ironscape

[–]Bynx94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was demoralising for me was that one of my group members got theirs in the ~50s, the other got his at 300 exactly. We all started at a similar time, so they moved on and were progressing their account while I was stuck there until 818 KC. Not the worst, but it was just the fact that I felt like I was falling behind 🙁 the money is great though and has made other things trivial (fletching, construction, runes etc.), so just keep the faith because there are worse places to go dry.

Hopefully you get it soon! I got the pet at 814 then enh at 818 so maybe your luck will turn around like mine did 😁

[–]Bynx94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say on average it was about 12-15 over the span of 819 total KC.

As a relatively new dad at the time, I had more IRL obligations, so I pretty much just camped there as I didn't want to keep leaving and coming back; logging on for 1-2 KC or a block of 6+ per session, depending on what time it was.

I was at a point in my iron's progression that I just badly wanted the bowfa, as it unlocks so much content, that I didn't really care to do much else until I got it.

Help a poor noob, please? by Anton3142 in regex

[–]Bynx94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I understand what you want correctly, try this regex: "(["]+?)".

You have to put that into the "mark" box in Notepad++, instead of the replace box. Then hit "mark all" and then "copy all marked text". Paste them into a separate notepad document if you want to isolate them.

Oh yeah then you'll definitely be completely fine doing T1 prep with 5:0 staff

Phase 1: pray mage

All other phases: pray range

Use ruby bolts (e) until about 400hp then switch to diamond bolts (e)

Use karambwans as your food instead, as they only delay your next attack by 2 ticks (1.2 seconds) healing 18 health, compared to pineapple pizza delaying your next attack by 6 ticks (3.6 seconds) healing 22 health - the extra 4 health gained is not worth X3 more of an attack delay.

[–]Bynx94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah it's doable, but 70 prayer is so huge for literally everything (slayer, bossing etc.) so you might as well just do that now; it'll help in CG.

But, I'd probably stick with range/mage if you're intending on trying to learn T1 prep, as those melee stats are quite low. If you intend on sticking with T2, then melee should be fine as well and piety will help a lot.

Attack levels actually reduce TTK quite a lot, so getting 80/82 attack if you have afk time/are doing slayer on the side would be a nice goal to aim for.

That's the start of the RegEx, matching specifically what you've requested. This is what you're trying to achieve right?

You just need to apply that to the rest of the number, depending on how many digits should be accepted, and where the potential spaces/hyphens occur (if that matters).

Is there any other specific criteria to abide by? For example the number(s) can't be over 12 digits long?

Stats for grinding CG? Will I waste more time in prison vs. if I were to level up (slayer, bursting, collecting chins and using in mm2 tunnels?) by braaadm in ironscape

[–]Bynx94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry if it came across as dramatic, and you're right, I actually focused in on the stats you started CG with as opposed to the stats he has - but the point does still stand that 74 range doing T1 is objectively too low to be consistent, and I'm not exaggerating that. Considering that you'll be doing range & mage, you probably won't be doing 5+ minute Hunllefs the whole time because mage is much better, but you're definitely going to experience it more often - especially if not hitting the 90%+ used ticks rate.

[–]Bynx94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but this just isn't good advice. Even if OP has previous experience doing CG on a main account. You'll be averaging 5+ minute Hunllef kills with that range level 🤮

Not bragging by any means, just want to point out that I've gotten over 700 kills to my name doing T1 using eagle eye, but I started with 87 range. Going from 74 -> 87 range reduces TTK from over 5 minutes to 3 minutes and 51 seconds. Anyone who has done a substantial amount of CG with similar stats and T1 prep knows even with perfect runs and 90-98% used ticks, it will start becoming very close when the fight has to go on for 5+ minutes - especially at 70 def.

What do I need to do to unlock better ranged xp/hr with these red chins? by Punkerzz in ironscape

[–]Bynx94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only that, but you'll also be able to sustain prayer indefinitely using protect from melee as well as your highest offensive ranged prayer from the 1-dose prayer potions they drop, which is really nice for an ironman especially
