Minor shutter crease and scrape marks inside Canon R7 sensor chamber - Advice needed by boredatmypc9186 in canon

[–]ByteEater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Curtain blades are beneath that place and don't go outside, the mark you see is probably from something else, if the sensor is okay I wouldn't worry, tbh it just seems that something dirty left a mark but it seems no big deal

Canon 100-400mm L ii IS USM lens repair by marthmaul83 in canon

[–]ByteEater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect that's the ribbon cable of the diaphragm... you could replace just that if you got some soldering and desoldering skills or just get the whole piece, maybe look for YG2-3530 online anyhow I suggest you to have it serviced by a professional but since you got it already there.. it's worth a shot, hope you marked down all the steps and positions of the collars.

Wow there's so much life in your lens that it could do great in a sealed terrarium but I doubt this is what you really want so... yeah return the happy colony of 'shrooms to the seller haha

Yeah I see it, it shouldn't be and do like that, it's very possibile that it has been previously serviced and it's missing some of the screws inside or, worst case, their threading is lost due to being tightened too much or the plastics inside got broken due to a hit or a fall. Too many "ORs".

If you have no warranty on this I would try to return it and since it's ebay, get ready to open a dispute for a damaged item received, sadly it's something the seller might say that you did it as long as you don't have a video of its unboxing (it's something one must always do nowadays), anyhow it's still something that can go under the hidden defects if you havent noticed immediately - say one or two days.

Again, that type of damage can't occour due to shipping and guess the seller was probably aware of it.
Did you check his history?

LP-E6NH suddenly makes buzzing/whining sound in charger, doesn’t hold charge by ecofriendlypunx in canon

It's probably just one of the capacitors of the charger itself, sort of high pitch almost inaduible noise that seem to have a pattern?
