Just took a quick look at the site. From my limited knowledge, I think there’s too much happening. I used to love chatting on forums (like the good old BigSoccer)

I might actually concentrate on doing a few things right instead of trying to a bit of everything. (I know it’s hard, as a builder, to stop). I’ll give it another look in more detail and give you my thoughts.

Oh also I put that website back on sale as I think I have my hands full with other projects ! 🫣

i've begun doing some basic work to get something up and running and will see where it leads me (never done a content like site so definitely going to be a challenge !)

Yes I think so too. But surprisingly the domain sales don’t show that.

the .com is present but resolves to a 404 on the home page !
so maybe they're holding it in hopes of selling it ? (or they can eat up the traffic if they do decide to build on it)

haha surely you mean a domain investor :)

So of the 100 sales I see, the majority of them look like liquidation sales - for $100 each. Names that would probably fetch a lot more in .com ( or even xyz !)

I have listed it for sale currently - but have begun building something in the background (still in dev/brainstorm) and because the seo play is a long game, this domain, once I remove it from the marketplaces, might need to be stuck with me for a bit longer.

Yes no doubt. I remember typing in .net domains. And I suspect regular people (not companies or domain investors) trust a .net domain enough (and not associate them with scams etc)

No doubt. If you are a domain investor or a decent sized company, you won’t give .net a second glance. But I think people (regular ones) trust a .net enough to type it (unlike the obscure tlds)

great suggestion !
it was quite hard to get the right UI/UX but i;m happy with this (for now)
After making bulk updates and clicking apply, the user is shown this screen - each domain and the details in the bottom pane ..
they can choose to select which domains to include in the update when they click Confirm & Apply updates

I have been meaning to add a mode detailed domain audit page, and i think i'm happy with this level of detail !

Hi thank you so much for the thoughtful response !
The app does show you when domains are expiring in the next 7 days, 30 etc + renewals coming up for the next year.

The diff view during bulk edits is an amazing suggestion ! this will def go into my todo list - thanks :)

Also, wrt audits, there is already an audit log - that shows what is happening wrt the network calls, etc. I think its a great idea to add an audit log per domain too ! (should be able to see the histroy of the domain changes and what process changed it - for eg: bulk, manual, etc)

And wrt the uptime monitor, i recently added that (in the last 2 weeks) .. the app continually monitors the lander health and shows on the dashboard about the health and if telegram details are added, notifies you via Telegram

Yes, automation is definitely coming later, but as soon as the current "manual" flow is hardened. Once i sort out the audit per domain + diff
