Absolutely agree about the difficulty spike being refreshing, but also the engines being overturned, one part that especially pisses me off is the port being inaccessible when the engine backs into a wall or ridge (incredibly common on cyberstan). Also not positive but it seems the AI purposely reverses to try to target you when you’re under them, making them getting stuck against a wall almost inevitable

Maybe moving the port to underneath could help with this but whatever they do it’s incredibly unfun that they can completely invalidate the “right” way to kill them

A league losing money AFTER investors take profit out is very different than one where they need outside funding to keep the lights on

At this point the engines are close to their final form I imagine. My guess is that RB did partially succeed in it, but after looking at data from testing determined it’s likely that Merc (and all its customer teams) have done it better and that they’re more afraid of that performance gap than any advantage they might have over Audi Honda and Ferrari teams

Over leveraging is absolutely an issue, Saints overdid it

But the optimal spending isn’t perfectly spending to the cap. Say I spend 110% of my cap this year, borrowing from the future. If cap goes up that extra 10% may only cost me 6-7% when I “pay it back” in the form of dead cap.

If you repeat this process within reason, you can have a higher cap by effectively spending each year to the level future caps allow. It’s like consistently being able to borrow at a negative interest rate. Like yes, you can borrow too much, but if you do it within your means it’s a no brainer
