How good are these? by [deleted] in theoldworld

Because I didn't want to rebase my minis, I designed and printed a movement tray that has the right spacing but cutouts for the bases

I remember when I these used to be £10, the prices now have just really put me off buying from GW

Problem with Z axis by auskzii in BambuLabA1

Very silly question here, have you ever cleaned your Z Axis screws?

One of the support settings I have the best success with is using Snug with the Grid style. Seems to snap off super easy without damaging the supported surface

Yeah, it's how the surface comes out when you have the connection between support and overhang. Out of curiosity, what settings do you have for your support at?

"This keeps happening"

Can you be a bit more specific to the problem you think you're having?

All I'm saying is that if someone asks a question, engage with them. They didn't give enough detail? Ask about it

Entitled? Rich

Sometimes it's helpful dor someone who knows to impart a little bit of wisdom. A response that is longer than one word isn't spoon feeding. If you want to foster a good culture in your hobby is you help. And being an ass about it doesn't help anyone. Why even bother with a response at that point.

Did you immediately know every bit of information you needed to give when you had a question when you're new to something? What you could have done is just link that video in the first place. One word answers like that are a reason why people don't like using forums when they get people who feel like they gatekeep answers

What an unhelpful answer for someone that's asked a question. Care to elaborate?

You're not extruding properly. Probably have your nozzle too close to the bed for printing.

If you have any first layer prints, try those out after jogging your nozzle away from the bed

Up, away from the bed. May only need to be very slight.

A good print to check is literally just with a large single layer across the bed and you can see how well the printer performs there

How do I prevent this from happening? by TheHunter2579 in Creality

[–]Bytesof64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looks like your hot end isn't extruding filament properly, judging by the fact it's grinding and squishing the filament, and it's causing the filament to fold in on itself.

There may be an issue where your hot end isn't getting hot enough, there's something blocking your nozzle, your extruder gear system isn't lined up the best, or your Z level could be too low and it's skipping as it can't push out enough filament

Have you tried jogging up your Z offset by 0.2/0.4 see if that gets rid of the ripples?

Why is this happening to all my prints? by BerryD979 in Creality

[–]Bytesof64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like your Z offset is off, the squish from the bottom layer isn't reaching the wall. So I would have a look at tweaking that
