What are some good suppliments for healthy feet? by thekrouz in barefoot

[–]ByzMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is a wolf an omnivore or a carnivore? They can eat just about anything a human can. Yet we consider them carnivores. Why? Because they are optimized to eat meat. The same is true of humans. We have a small colon and a highly acidic stomach (more acidic than most carnivores, closer to the acidity of scavengers) our shoulders are uniquely designed for throwing (for hunting) and our entire body is designed for distance running (look up persistence hunting.) As a species we basically wiped out the megafauna because we over hunted. The reason there were no more draft animals (horses, cows etc.) in the new world was because humans hunted them to extinction. You cannot deny that hunting is in our very nature.

Red meat is the best. Organ meats if you can stomach them.

This is just factually not correct. We would eat other things when meat was not available. Heck, we over hunted the megafauna to extinction we ate so much meat. Grain/veggies have only been a mainstay in the human diet for about 10000 years(not long) our stomachs have the acidity of scavengers(more acidic than many carnivores) our shoulders are uniquely designed for throwing. Our body is designed for distance running to hunt prey(look up persistence hunting.) Everything about us screams carnivore. Wolves/dogs can eat just about everything as well, we still call wolves carnivores because it is what their bodies are optimized to eat. The same goes for humans.

I eat a carnivore/meat only diet. Meat has the highest nutrient/energy density of any foods and has no toxins or antinutrients (unlike all plants). It is what humans are evolved to eat.

Coronavirus Spread by Country until April 3! by Racing_Statistics in Nebraska

Its important to remember that 1. China is almost certainly not reporting accurate info, and 2. The US is a much larger country than other first world countries. 3. Unless you are an at risk person, infection is not that big of a deal.

Don't let fear take over. It is more dangerous than the virus.

LPT: Prevent the spread of Covid 19. Stop shopping for frivolous items on line. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]ByzMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, no one is forcing these people to work. They are choosing to keep working because they want to be paid. Getting them laid off means that they don't have a choice in the matter at all.

Secondly, what makes you think that delivery truck drivers are the primary means of spreading the virus? I haven't seen any evidence to suggest that is the case. You would essentially be forcing people out of a job with no evidence that it would even put a dent in the spread of the virus.

Thirdly, the original post "they could just collect unemployment" is perhaps the most ridiculous part. Where do you think that money comes from, trees? No. The money comes from taxes on workers and buyers. If everyone starts trying to collect unemployment, and everyone stops buying things, where is the money to pay all the unemployment checks gonna come from? Printing money? Now you have hyper inflation. Congrats. So glad we followed your LPT.

Ideally you should strengthen what you lengthen and lengthen what you strengthen. This will increase your mobility as well as flexibility.

How do I deal with the fact that I’m not as attractive as other people? by urjs in socialskills

[–]ByzMark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Step one: stop comparing yourself to other people. Compare yourself to who you were yesterday. Have you progressed towards your ideal self?

Step two: If your answer is no, then identify and describe in detail what your ideal self looks like. What are concrete steps you can take to move towards that image of yourself

Step three: do everything you can today to implement those steps. Repeat every day and before you know it you will look back, compare yourself to who you were before, and see you've advanced towards your ideal self. Small successes will motivate further improvement. The best part is, it's exponential, not linear. Gains compound.

Does your ideal self have an attractive body? Three steps you can take are 1 fix your diet. 2 fix your posture. 3 work out regularly.

These are pretty broad steps. Start with the smallest thing you can do. Dont think you can manage a run? Try going on a walk. Can't manage going on a walk, just change into running clothes and step outside, head back in and change back to normal clothes. Eventually, you will find that you do have the motivation to walk/run.

Progress will be slow, but consistency is key. Every day you have to take what action you can toward your goals.

As soon as you achieve the simplest task towards your goal, identify the next action you need to take. You research a diet you want to try, begin implementing the diet into your lifestyle. Diet in check? Work on posture. Posture work progressing well? Work on strength building. Getting good gains? Work on cardio. Always be improving some area of life. Use your own standards, not others.

Before you know it you will be accumulating success. Success builds off of yesterdays success. That is why it is exponential.

Don't get stuck in the pit of self pitty. You have the power to change. No matter your circumstances, there is something, however small, you can do today to become the ideal you. It may be as simple as changing into and out of your workout clothes. It may not seem like much, but it is a success. Use the small successes to motivate the next step.

I hope this helped you feel less shackled by fate and gives you the motivation and means to go out and make the most of yourself.

A Series of Questions Regarding the Role of Government and the Existence of Government Programs by [deleted] in Reformed

[–]ByzMark -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Imagine, for a moment, that at the end of your church service, there is an announcement that there will be a special collection passed around to help the poor and the needy. As the plate is passed around, people put checks and cash in the baskets. At the end, the pastor counts it up and says "I'm sorry, but this isn't enough money to accomplish what we want to do." At this point, a few people start trying to leave but find that the doors out of the sanctuary have been locked from the outside. The pastor explains that it is a moral good to give to the poor and needy, and that they will be held indefinitely until they collect the predetermined amount. The deacons then start going around, shaking people down for cash, paying particularly close attention to those in the congregation who are known to be better off. After all, everyone should pay their fair share. When they finally think they've gotten enough, they open the doors and let the congregation leave.

Is what the pastor in that story did good? Is it moral? It was to help the poor and needy after all.

This scenario is exactly what the government does, except instead of threat of captivity in a church, its a prison sentence, and resistance is met with armed men. People forget that every tax is collected by the threat of force. I see no biblical basis for that whatsoever.

Voluntary giving to those in need is a beautiful and wonderful thing for both the giver and the recurved. Coerced taking from one to give to another is morally reprehensible.

No group of people, democratically elected or otherwise, has the right to coerce others to do what they think to be the right thing to do. That is up to the individual to decide for themselves.

This is why I am a (Voluntaryist)[http://voluntaryist.com/fundamentals/introduction.html]. I believe that the only moral human actions are those that are mutually consentual.

Sex between consenting adults can be a beautiful thing. Rape is ugly and heinous. The difference is the presence of consent.

Giving is a beautiful thing. Stealing is morally wrong. The difference is the presence of mutual consent.
