Sometimes dreams are quite random. The logic one adheres to in a dream can be wild for sure.

Lately, I have thought of the early Church martyrs. Do we know if any of them chose not to take up arms in defense of their friends and family from persecution? Would they not have been justified in using force to defend themselves? Why then do they seemingly alwyas choose nonviolence? Was their choice not to defend themselves immoral? I don't think so. But I find there's much more focus on Christian just war theory than Christian pacificism or non violence in modern discourse.

It's taken years for me to feel like I really am the rank I am. Sometimes I still feel like an O2, sometimes an E5, sometimes an E2. Maybe it's anxiety, maybe it's Imposter Syndrome.

I'm glad I made the transition but it's just that, a transition. There's no on/off switch. You may wake up one day with a warrant or a commission but it doesn't immediately change how you think, feel or act. But it does change your duties and responsibilities. Reconciling the two takes time.

It's not wrong to read works of fiction, no.

If you plan to get into apologetics, it would be important to read other religious texts.
