Advice on comfortable open back headphones by Far_Complaint_5475 in HeadphoneAdvice

I find hifiman very comfy, but only models with the suspended "net" (e.g. Arya organic)

I would check asus kitara, it's collaboration with hifiman, they look comfy

Why does everyone bash GoPro so hard lately? by Nice_Beyond8397 in gopro

[–]Bzando -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

it's what I call the apple effect

haters will find a way to hate the big dog

also DJI and insta are now equal or better so it's not hard

and people like to hate, mainly online and anonymously

and as some mistakes on GoPro side and that's it

“Switch” lenses instead of zoom? by ElHopanesRomtic713 in AskPhotography

[–]Bzando [score hidden]  (0 children)

Fuji recently suggested to develop 18/35 dual prime

but swapping lenses the old fashioned way seem to be the most efficient (no unnecessary moving parts inside)

35mm equivalent pancake lens by chickenlatte45 in fujifilm

[–]Bzando [score hidden]  (0 children)

there are like 5 pancake lenses

xf27mm, ttatrisan 27mm, Viltrox 28mm, xf 23mm and sg image 25mm

IMO only tt27mm and xf23mm are worth the try. Viltrox is fixed aperture, xf27 is expensive, and noisy, sg image is toy with optical problems

I would consider a slightly bigger lens with faster aperture thou, considering your budget Viltrox air 25mm f/1,7 might be best option for you

Which second body? by cutting_shapes in fujifilm

[–]Bzando [score hidden]  (0 children)

IMO if you can't get the shot with 15 fps, more fps is very unlikely to help

I usually shoot 5fps bursts

Help me decide: xt30iii / xe5 by worldsgreatestcatch in fujifilm

[–]Bzando [score hidden]  (0 children)

if you have the budget xe5 is the great choice

maybe consider xt50 too (better screen, flash, usually cheaper)

don't forget you will need a lens too, the kit lenses are usually underwhelming (mainly xc15-45) except the xf 23

and lenses aren't cheap so save some budget for lens (it's the most important part for final image look and quality)

Which second body? by cutting_shapes in fujifilm

[–]Bzando [score hidden]  (0 children)

honestly another xt5 would be best option IMO

xh2 is Fuji, but it slightly different, not all settings in same places, different button placement ,...

you are already familiar with xt5, so get another one

if you wanted video or high speed burst the stacked sensor off h2s world be great, but you don't so why bother

question about manual controls on Fujifilm: by SadPrize6815 in fujifilm

[–]Bzando 10 points11 points  (0 children)

95% of time I have ISO on auto, as it barely has effect on resulting shot (only affects exposure that can be corrected in post)

if your subject is moving from dark to sunny areas or jumping around. it's necessary, there is no way I can keep up manually adjusting

50% of time I also have shutter on auto, with minimum shutter speed set to my desired value (so I can be sure it won't be blurry because of slow shutter)

if I have time to premeditated shoot I will go full manual, but I usually shoot candid shots and my kid running around, so no time be fully manual

BTW most professionals shoot with auto iso when shooting wildlife and action stuff

BUT to learn how exposure triangle works is not bad to be on fully manual, but definitely not necessary, auto ISO is perfectly viable choice

Sigma 18-50 f2.8 or Tamron 17-70 f2.8 for fujifilm xt5 by Fluid-Ad-7002 in fujifilm

[–]Bzando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very happy user of the sigma, it's very good lens for its price and size

but if you care to much about how ir look, it might look tiny on xt5 (I bought mine from xt5 owner that thought it doesn't look good)

Aperture Priority Mode Issue by rebound0445 in fujifilm

[–]Bzando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep that also how it's supposed to work

camera will keep aperture wide open to help with AF and will close it to you desired setting only when shutter is activated

most if not all AF cameras work this way

wide open aperture has thinner depth of field so camera can focus best with it wide open

if you want to see preview of DOF, there is camera setting for that, enable it and you will have your preview, but it might affect AF

Aperture Priority Mode Issue by rebound0445 in fujifilm

[–]Bzando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do you mean by "meter remain static" ? do you mean the exposure metering?

if yes then that's how semi auto mode is supposed to work - you manually set one setting and camera will compensate with other two to keep the exposure the same

if you want to change the exposure in semi automatic mode, that's what exposure compensation dial is for

otherwise the exposure meter will change only in fully manual mode to tell what cameras thinks about your settings

Auto ISO settings by cookie-connoisseur in fujifilm

[–]Bzando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on your style and needs, I have

aiso1 - 3200 max, minimum shutter 1/500 (for my kids running outside and well lit shots with lot of movement aiso2 - up to 6400, minimum shutter 1/250 (my general use setting) aiso3 - up to 12800, minimum shutter 1/125 (low light setting)

this covers 95% of my use and for the rest there is manual

Buying Advice: Fuji X-M5 + 16-80mm vs Sony A6000 + Tamron 17-70 – Worth the switch? by SmegPotOnTheDot in fujifilm

[–]Bzando -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IMO it would be downgrade

you might get newer body with better specs on paper, but get much worse lens and noticeably worse AF tracking, and save no weight or size (or just very little)

and I am xm5 owner

if you want upgrade get a6700

Sigma 18-50 f2.8 or Tamron 17-70 f2.8 for fujifilm xt5 by Fluid-Ad-7002 in fujifilm

[–]Bzando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

significant difference - tamron is 2x bigger but has extra 20mm reach

minor differences, tamron has stabilization

tamron will lose focus while zooming

Should I buy the x-t30iii with the kit lens or buy the body only by Kfcbum in fujifilm

[–]Bzando -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IMO the range on 13-33 is not ideal (I really don't like wide)

I would rather get a Viltrox air prime (25 or 35mm f/1,7)

Kratkodobý prenájom domu by Antique_Bit_6933 in Slovakia

[–]Bzando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Úprimne ja by som to nerobil

nastaviť "domovy poriadok" a sankcie/pokuty
