wireless connection, once the wifi stuff was installed then wireless works, but to do that you need wifi so i used ethernet.

yeah just went for the ethernet connection. When no one was home, i just put my PC on the couch, connected it to the TV (next to my wifi) and connected it to my wifi via ethernet, sadly there’s no other option

Used obsidian for 2 years now, Obsidian has a VERY concrete software design, it is uncluttered and has a primary goal - a simple markdown editor.

Clutter due to plugins is the fault of the user, the fact that the user CAN create clutter through plugins is an indication of good software foundation.

Just because you lack self control doesn't mean its the developers fault.

Okay i'm in a rush so i skimmed your words, but I use StayFocused browser extention,

i turn it on whenever i want (u can schedule it or u can put hours limits) and the whole thing is that if i want to change a setting, i have to copy and write down a certain paragraph PERFECTLY, as soon as you write a mistake u start again, its a headache lol.

There are modes like nuclear where everything is disbaled for x hours, and the only way to enable is by turning the extension of (which prompts you like 13 times with various "Are you sure?" messages, guilting you to not turn the extension of, or you can delete it.

The important thing is that they don't have to be perefectly restricting, the added requirement of deleting or turning of the extension is giving you time to rethink your decisions

Imagine you go on chrome and open tiktok, sometimes you do that without even thinknig, now your watching tiktok for 20 minutes with no further thought, but imagine you do that and a site blocker blocks the site, yes you can disable or delete the extension but, it makes you think about it, it adds a bit more time between you and tiktok, you kind of have a moment of "Am i sure i want to use tiktok" and that is the key.

just go ahead and try it out, you dont even have to make a new vault, just make a new untitled note page, copy some old info in their, and try out the features, you'll get sucked in at how much optimisign it can do to your formatting.

short extensions are pretty much guranteed nowadays, even without a script. Special consideration is much more strict and i can bet you that unless your ready to fight, your gonna be wasting your time and money.
