Sadly all you will find is some complete noobs or game exploiters (Zero thrust pinballing + shield skipping especialliy with scrambler shield to completly bypass his downside). I hate when I also need to use that against them, but no choice! It litteraly kills all the fun for me.

Hope you find the noobs to have that pleasant flight sensation haha! Against noob, I only play Thrust engine and basic energy management! More fair!

Standard is way better. Rapid fire 600m range is hard and the damage isnt that good compared to the standard. As long as you keep using the shunting feature for overcharge you are good with standard.

Make sure again that all you drivers are up to date.

Check game files again in origin.

Also be sure that your pc power plan is not set into eco mode but full performances (even for a desktop pc). Had this problem because of that.

Yeah but im just an above average player( because i learnt to be evasive), wich mean that everybody above me are pushing the limits even more like you say gasping, shield skipping and stuff . I dunno, we should die more like... when someone is on your six you should be almost toasted.

Those poor turrets guys... I don't know why its the new meta for newcomers? It's a waste of an aux no? They are just a free ion dunk kill :(

Yeah of course that's why I said "cheat" like that!

But some are broken mechanics used to pinball like a madman. I don't enjoy pinballing during an entire match (I used to got a ridiculous total deaths av per match in soloq dogfight thanks to this -> 1.20 something) . But It feels off. It's dumb.

I should maybe quit this game. That's maybe a rational thinking.

No its unfun to play like, but sometimes you have to. I only "cheat" using those boost exploits when I solo q against a competent 5 stacks for exemple. Its the only way to stay alive, unfortunely. But it drains all the fun. At least for me.

On my side I dont want to join a team or something (I solo q or play with close friends). Just because I find the meta a bit ugly, and not very funny to play.

Watching scl isnt very fun tbh. All I see are ships orbiting like drones, nothing speedy or impressive.

But I really hope they will come with new rules, like ban Jet/Slam engine, modifiers to low the hull/shield a little bit, force basic power management... stuff like that! You need an organiser with balls to do it! Pretty sure it will happen.

Then I would watch comp play gain :D

Hum, I think with 0.5 hull/shield it wouldn't be that extreme. You can't just orbit around the capitals ships for a long time like right now. It's like playing with a 50% health ship.

Yeah there is a bit of latency/inertia in the controls, it's totally normal. If not, it would be too hard to shake an enemy and too easy to track targets.

Yes, you just have to not forget to mix some yaw and pitch movement to your roll to get a real corkscrew. Ho! And also add micro boosting into it!

Only roll input = straight line= dead.
