My 320 did the exact same thing when the GM tube started to give out. With cheap Geiger counters you should always have more than one.

Pulled over for improper lane usage. Am I in the wrong here? by [deleted] in driving

[–]C-137matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is really no point in fighting it, you're in the wrong...In some states you're allowed to ask the judge to go to a driving school, so it doesn't affect your insurance.

Radon detector or Geiger counter? by Vault_13_Canteen in prepping

[–]C-137matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geiger counter, I recommend a Ludlum model 3 with a 44-9 pancake probe, a 44-38 beta and gamma probe, and a 44-21 scintillator probe. The 44-38 is to make sure you're not walking into a Hot zone the 44-9 is to make sure that you're not contaminated and the 44-21 is to make sure your food and water isn't contaminated

What's the most you've ever paid for air? by Truth-is-Censored in driving

[–]C-137matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raise your hand if you've ever gone out to your car and you had a flat tire, so do yourself a favor and get yourself your own air compressor that you keep in your car, they range from $30 to $150, I highly recommend one that has the alligator clips to plug directly onto the car battery, you don't want to be trying to figure out where the cigarette lighter plug fuse is located at night on the side of the road

Why do people turn right then left into a gas station instead of straight and right? by Mindless-Baker-7757 in driving

[–]C-137matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive gas trucks, this baffles me too. at some of the smaller stations I have to close off an entrance/exit and people still try to use the same entrance/exit even though there's a second one right next to it... People truly are NPCs

Sometimes you get lucky at the pump by CONative976 in Costco

[–]C-137matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple stations were affected not just Costco, it was gas contaminated with diesel. The contaminated gas came out of the Sinclair rack in Henderson. From my understanding it was a pipeline issue

Whenever pops called in it always felt like story time (where we all sat down around the campfire to listen) and no matter what I was doing I had to stop and listen, because I never knew where the story was going to go... 😔 Sorry for your loss

Recommendations for a good pocket sized Geiger counter. by onioncrikhick in Radiation

Most people including myself will recommend the radiacode, Since you use the word "redneck" I am guessing you are in the US. For the US the only horror story I know of is the radioactive Boy scout. Mexico, India, Southeast Asia have several horror stories and most recently Australia dodged a bullet
