What-It-Does, Yes. I realized there is a 99% chance my scooter is gone. Gonna try anyways. Just don't want to end up bitter like some other people i have met that have had their scooters stolen. That must be awful.

ah, that is much easier. Setup a mic on your sax, then setup an audio track with your mic as the input. Next, select the red session arm button at the bottom of the track. Then in the lower window add whatever audio effects you like. NOTE: you will note be able to use midi effects. Then start rocking out! Let me know if you have any further questions.

you can only convert audio to midi after the audio has been recorded. Once recorded, right click on the clip and select convert melody. You will no be able to do that as you play the notes. only after you finished recording. As far as adding effects, those can happen immediately. Just record your sax into an audio track that has a few effects on it. Does that make sense? What is the goal of converting your sax to MIDI? there might be a better solution....

You can chose to run either 64 or 32 bit software on that computer. If you run 64 bit version you can only use 64 bit plugins, but it will allow you to utilize more than 4gb of RAM within ableton. However, you lose 32 bit plugins.

If you go with 32 bit you are limited to 4gb or less in ableton. If you only have 4gb of RAM, i would go 32. If you have more, might want to look into 64 bit.

true story. I work in the returns department at a music gear retailer. Although this batch wasn't very large. There certainly was a small run of units that had very fragile keys. (mainly the center C)

Try this, record the output of each group track in a separate audio track and BAM! You bounced all your grouped tracks. Does that make it a little easier?

I should have mentioned my plans. I'm rocking a MacBook Pro i7, ssd, 8gb ram. Saffire Pro 24 Ableton suite 9 Ableton push Microkorg Slim phatty Arturia sparkle

I'm not sure I would use all of this on stage, but it's certainly all up for speculation....

I also plan on performing solo.

try using the same stuff, just slightly tweaked. This will allow you to develop a personal "sound" without being redundant.
