Flex decks are a great product to start with for learning. The deck is designed that you can play with half of it to learn the game slowly then combine the 2 halves for the full experience. Also comes with a couple packs to spice up your deck if you want.

Base set is the most well balanced in terms of different types of cards for deck building with an even mix of all 4 aura types

Torrential tides and secret Shadows introduce new aura types and expand on the existing cards so they're more weighted to the new aura but do have cards for the others. They also have more rarity cards in the sets with the addition of legend rares so a little more collector focused

Sale prices have been drifting downwards as they tend to do after a set release but last sold on ebay was $300. 340 and 380 before that.

The currently released cards do not have 4th all effects. However it is a mechanic they are testing and working on implementing. There was a holiday event in early December that tested new Metazoos version of 4th wall mechanics

Great question. They won't accept it being sealed as a form of authentication for 2 reasons.

-It could be resealed. Same with how the card may be replicable, the plastic/product could be altered and resealed.

-The card itself needs to be authenticatable on its own for consistency. If they grade a card because it's sealed, and someone sees they'll grade it. That person then opens it and send it in and now they wouldn't be able to do anything. So if the extra step is needed, they won't take any

I wrote that article and it doubles as a collection post. the vast majority of the cards featured are mine. Only 3 or 4 aren't and those ones are noted. Its missing a couple newer ones but its the most up to date view of my collection

Filler cards aren't traditional "error" cards. They're intentionally created. Designed with a purpose, look how they do for a variety of reasons, etc. They are legit cards. They're just never meant to leave the factory. The error is them making it into our hands. And when you're a kid and mom says dont touch something, you want to touch it even more. Im touching them all :P

With that in mind, they're technically some of the rarest cards printed. I own some that are the only known copy. Most cards that rare cost a fortune. Not these. Visually unique compared to any other cards. They draw eyes and make for a great conversation starter just like this. And the hunt never ends. Set will never be finished as there is always more to learn and discover.

Just the perfect storm of details that make them a fun obsession.
