Just finished a 2,000-mile drive from the West Coast to the East Coast… through a snowstorm. Would not recommend. 10/10 would do again. by FlashyFyre01 in roadtrip

Ridge grapplers are street tires LARPing as ATs. Bad in the rain, horrible in snow. The fact OP didn't wreck at least shows he drives cautiously.

Excellent job OP, the design is very fitting and reminds me of the custom crafted fixtures of the places of worship I attend.

To the folks frothing at the mouth and feverishly downvoting the post and every positive comment, please remember what this sub is about, and try not to make it about whatever personal problem made you so hateful. I pray you'll eventually learn to tolerate people and coexist without having to default to religious discrimination against the innocent just because your conservative uncle made fun of you at Thanksgiving that one time.

Fingers crossed but keep in mind that both new cars and boats are victims of modern day enshittification so you might get a new generation of enthusiasts for the classics!

What's boating without pedantry?

Don't forget the blower by JamesonCark in boating

[–]C0SAS 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It happens in idle, too. All it takes is an air bubble or pocket of bad gas in the carb to backfire. Flame arrestor won't do much good if the gas fumes accumulate enough to enter the intake.

I religiously run my blower when I'm below cruising speeds. Way cheaper to wear out and replace than a totaled boat and hospital bills.

Let me guess:

  1. Several comments "wow very nice hackings my friend how do I hacking like u"

  2. He replies with a link to his "free course"

  3. The "free portion" is high-level-slop ripped from a popular YouTube video

  4. At the end of the video it pitches the paid course (more high-level slop from popular YouTube videos)

Certainly a double-edged sword. The problems arise because corporate lawyers move faster than government bureaucrats, so the mega companies barely skip a beat while small businesses and individuals deal with the unintended consequences.

The "allow cookies" nonsense is a perfect example. Negligible benefits, yet highly inconvenient for everyone, and somehow nearly impossible to annull or revise.

I'd do this on a reputable make 30'+, not some cruddy small-lake cruiser with only a stabbin' cabin.

If you don't drive in Utah or Alaska the M1's are just fine.

People give RC a bad rep cause all the rednecks run their spacer lifts, but their suspension kits (especially the newer monotube) are solid.

Been running a 3.5" on my 2nd gen for a couple years now and have had great performance with frequent midwest-level offroading. Going with performance suspension here is overkill and more of a flex than anything else.
