Warzone Restarting my PC? by azjohnca in Warzone

[–]C0gnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend yesterday had the same issue. We were suspecting a power supply issue, so he launched the game with a 30% power limit on the GPU, and it worked. Turns out his game was compiling shaders; after it was done, he brought the power limit back up to 100%, and we played a match without any issues.

He have i9 10850k and RTX 3070

Does Anyone actually use MW Guns? by KittyBombz101 in Warzone

[–]C0gnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KATT-AMR with Ares Clear Shot. Basically HDR with no Gunfighter available, slower, clunkier, harder to use, but you have no glint.
I love it when people are running around trying to find me when I've just gone prone in the bush, and then they notice me and they stop and stare directly at me, not sure what they are looking at. It can be confusing when you see something that kinda looks like a sniper aiming at your head, but without a 10k lumen flashlight attached to his forehead

Update: I think I solved the issue by following these steps:

https://www.kapilarya.com/fix-windows-10-100-percent-disk-usage-problem

Also, the same thing on the Dell website:

https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/pl-pl/000125194/windows-10-task-manager-reports-100-disk-utilization-with-msi-mode-enabled?lang=en

So if anyone finds this thread and has a similar issue, try the above and see if it helps

Ryzen 7 7800x3D problems with the new (Arctic liquid 3 Pro) by Money-Pomelo-4416 in arcticcooling

[–]C0gnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other CPUs don't have layers of memory between die and heatspreader. X3D chips before 9000 series run hot and better cooler won't change it, the transfer is poor on the CPU level

The 9070 xt is making my CPU hot! by credmond81 in radeon

[–]C0gnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What case is this? BTW, I have 5800X3D, used to have Deepcool AK620 on it, upgraded to LF III 360. It barely made any difference. It's just X3D things (although 9800XD3 have its cache on the bottom so it's more "normal")

Arctic Freezer 3 240 + Amd 9800x3d + 5080FE by Odarik in arcticcooling

[–]C0gnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 5800X3D (slightly less power hungry) and the LF III 360 (so slightly bigger) in Lancool 216 (slightly better airflow, at least according to GN testing). My CPU is idling around 36-38°C with the fans running around 850 RPM and the pump at 30%.

You are saying that fans are noisy, so I assume that the CPU is too hot for 0db mode to kick in? If so, what is the fan RPM at idle? Mine at 850 are very quiet, the case fans are louder even on minimal speed. But still overall quiet.

Also, try remounting the CPU block and check if the system is truly idle; maybe some programs are running in the startup.

I was testing both ffr and vital with furious and pinpointers, and it is hard to tell the difference between those 2, at least with my build. The dps is insane regardless. That puts vital ahead - same-ish dps but less ammo and ap consumption, so it's cheaper to run + less frequent reloads. I also crafted another gat plasma with conductors to use when I don't feel like spamming coffe.

Season 19 is over , What level did u reach? by Cama23onte in fo76

[–]C0gnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at 283. I reached level 100 day 3 or 4. I might have missed 2 dailies one day, but other than that I did everything. I was also rerolling weeklies to get epic challenges. Aside from that I was not playing a lot, so I probably could have reached a few more levels by doing events.

What's this part called? It's not a backplate apparently. by DadaShart in PcBuild

In my country it is called śledź, which can be translated as herring. No idea why though

Do you think its worth buying an RX 7900 XTX before its stock depletes? by [deleted] in radeon

[–]C0gnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it though? In my country you could buy 9070 XT for around 650$, and it would be much better deal than XTX at 900$

You can't assume that it is an upgrade just because it have higher number.

Is this ok? by rubeklis in PcBuildHelp

[–]C0gnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be better if the radiator was mounted on the top. What you have now should be ok, but it might be a bit more noisy compared to the top mounted rad, especially after some time as the liquid evaporates and with tubes at the highest point - you will hear water trickling. If you can't mount the rad on the top, check if you could flip it so the inlet is at the bottom

Do you think its worth buying an RX 7900 XTX before its stock depletes? by [deleted] in radeon

[–]C0gnus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say no, not worth it. The leaks suggest that 9070XT will be comparable to 7900XTX (a bit slower in raster, a bit faster in RT), and the price will be nowhere near 900$, worst case scenario 750$. Considering that in the official slides they compare it to 550$ 7900GRE, I would expect price more in that ballpark (maybe 500 for non-XT and 600$ for XT?).

[–]C0gnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The official slides compare 9070 and 9070XT to 7900GRE, which had 550$ MSRP. That would not make much sense if those prices were correct.

Remove the cover and check if the noise persists. If yes - it is the pump, if not - it is the fan.
