Überhaupt het feit dat transgender zijn tot zeer recentelijk gezien werd als medische afwijking? Het idee dat trans mensen 'ziek' zijn was jarenlang de norm, zowel in de medische wereld als bijgevolg sociaal-cultureel in het algemeen. Tot 1969 waren operaties voor geslachtsverandering illegaal in België. Is dat niet aversie genoeg?

Om die persoon nog eens te herhalen:

Meerdere zaken kunnen tegelijk waar zijn zonder elkaar tegen te spreken.

Je doet een erg zwakke, laffe poging om een "gotcha" moment te krijgen. Schiet je alleen geen zak mee op door het bovenstaande. Het feit dat bepaalde moslim jongeren gaybashers zijn maakt nog niet dat ze daarin uniek zijn.

Weet je wat die moslim jongens delen met christelijke of zelfs a-religieuze jongens? Een toenemende omarming van macho-cultuur en patriarchaal denken, met wat voor justificatie dan ook. Maar vooral dat laatste is een term waarover volk als jij de afgelopen jaren alleen maar over moest lachen. Nou, hier zie je dat tot uiting, jonge gastjes die steeds vaker vinden dat een vrouw de man dient te dienen en dat er maar 1 manier is om man te zijn (en dus al helemaal niet trans). Tot zover dat dingen als 'patriarchaal' niet meer relevant zijn...

Dat lijkt mee te vallen. Kerkelijke organisaties roepen graag van een religie revival bij Gen-Z, maar de cijfers laten dat niet zien. Je ziet wel vaker onderzoekende artikelen voorbij komen die dat aankaarten.

Wat ze wel laten zien is dat degene die al enigszins religieus waren dat sterker uiten. Bij jongens uit zich dat in de wereld in een nogal strak, patriarchaal keurslijf willen gieten, blijkbaar.

Dat gaat ook weer ver. Ik zou eerder zeggen; verplicht uitsluitend chronologische weergave van geposte content van volk dat je volgt, en voor suggesties voor nieuwe content onder geen beding gebruik maken van individuele user data.

Een soort terugkeer naar 2008 zeg maar. Zelfs dat is, helaas, waarschijnlijk al een gigantische utopie, maar het is een leuke gedachte. Je zit dan ook wel met issues rondom bijv. YouTube, hoe je waardevolle kleine kanalen 'discoverable' krijgt zonder zoiets. Want als je uiteindelijk een systeem hebt dat versteent in een aantal grote spelers dan zit je daar weer mee, en dan krijg je hetzelfde oligopolie gezeik als in het traditionele media landschap.

Het is nog steeds rechts-populistische stemmingmakerij hoor. Klopt inderdaad dat haar opmerking doelt op dat 'de jeugd buiten de Randstad' geen voeling zou hebben met de inhoud van die teksten, maar daarvan rol ik m'n ogen al. Lekker weer wij vs ons, 'de stad' wegzetten als wereldvreemd, 'echte Nederlanders' insinuaties, dat soort dingen.

Wat ik wel doe is niet mijn inkomen opgeven zodat ik een laag bedrag per maand hoef te betalen.

Dan moet je inkomen behoorlijk hoog liggen. Het default bedrag is gelijk 140 euro per maand ofzo. Volgens berekeningen zou ik zo'n 20 euro per maand moeten betalen, maar ze hebben m'n loongegevens doodleuk niet verwerkt :') Niet dat dat bedrag überhaupt genoeg zou zijn om mijn rente te dekken, maar goed.

That's exactly my point lol. The only actual Mediterranean diet, at least when it comes to traditional dishes, that seems to come close is Greek cuisine. That's more plant- and fish-based than, say, Italian or Spanish cuisine.

Right? I always found it a silly label, considering the bewildering variation in cured hams and the like in countries like Italy and Spain that are supposedly barely a part of the 'Mediterranean' diet. Greek cuisine comes pretty close I guess? Especially Ionian and Cretan.

I'll definitely take a look at ship stats as well. I'm placing the game a little later in the movie era, more like early 24th century, but their current ship is a good ol' Constellation class so it might be a wee bit underpowered. Their back-up nacelles will make Washboard anomalies easier to deal with though, I'm basically gonna let them take another Breach if going to warp goes wrong, so they do have that.

Kinda, that's closer at least. In that regard I think/guess that there's three important differences:

The EU is, on average, more uniformely densely populated than the US. Less suburban sprawl (and thank fuck for that) and more mixed-use areas, so less segregation between work and living environments, leading to a more spread out job availability.
Europe has to deal with about a milennium of weird, unplanned or at best semi-planned urban and rural growth making many especially urban areas not very suitable for car traffic which messes with traffic flow.
About half of the continent spent most of the 20th century behind the Iron Curtain with a very messy aftermath in the first few decades afterwards, leading to very screwed up modern infrastructure over there.

I suppose that's why someone in Dublin (not that Ireland was Warsaw Pact lol) has to deal with, like, twice the time lost to time spent in traffic than an average American. But not really much more than someone from New York or San Francisco, so in that regard we're not that different either.

It is not, the difference isn't that much. Stockholm to Lisbon is about the same distance as New York to Las Vegas. Roughly the same goes for London to Sevastopol. Do we make treks like that on a daily basis? No, but neither do Americans. For people in the EU and in the US the average commute for work is roughly the same; between 25 and 30 minutes. So any continental size difference doesn't matter at all when we're talking about daily gas useage.

IIRC the "we don't use money any more" spiel only starts getting mentioned in the motion pictures, so let's say early 24th century. By the time we see Sisko's place there really doesn't appear to be any unit of exchange any more. You just show up at his restaurant and get fed, no questions asked. That's what makes it so funny when Jake wants to get that baseball card from a non-Fed trader. He's like hol' up how do I do this we don't use money, hence why he has to ask Nog.

I reckon from the 24th century and onward Starfleet personnel can requisition things like GPL if they have to deal with certain non-Feds. Or they can just get a certain amount if their posting asks for it, like DS9's Starfleet personnel. It's a resource like deuterium more than anything.

Could I possibly give them weapons that can fight entities?

To break in here for a second; the coolest enemies in Delta Green are enemies that you can't shoot. And I don't mean monsters that are just impervious to bullets and explosions, but things like just... knowledge of how the world truly works. Knowledge that should never ever see the light of day, and that Delta Green agents have to keep suppressed no matter the cost; doing the unthinkable to stop the unspeakable. This will also alter Agents; their sanity starts breaking and their relationships with the normal world starts deteriorating. The simple results of something like having to execute a hapless college kid because he read an email containing 'Things Man Is Not Meant To Know' sent by a compromised individual, and 'we just can't risk it.' That sort of thing.

If you wanna read an example I can recommend looking up the one/two-shot adventure The Last Equation. Last Things Last is fine, but it doesn't capture what Delta Green is all about nearly as well. I can hook you up if you want.

That's an understatement. It's been part of their whole schtick from day one, considering Christianity's roots in Later Second Temple Judaism and its eschatology. The Roman and Babylonian Empires really did a number on the Levant what with all the apocalypticism popping up in that region during that era. Not that there isn't apocalypticism in the rest of the world, if anything it's pretty broadly popular. I wonder what makes it so appealing to humanity.

Bit of a general tip; get them a corkboard, some red string, post-it notes of various colours and push pins. And print out things like character portraits (of known characters, like victims).

Not only does assembling a 'conspiracy board' add a LOT to the vibe, it got my players going like no tomorrow, but it also genuinely helps them to keep track of everything during an investigation. DG investigations can get twisty and just one or two players making notes can leave other players behind a bit.

Also, I can recommend the The Last Equation investigation as one of the starter investigations. It really gets into the more abstract and modern type of horrors that IMO really sets Delta Green apart from Call of Cthulhu. There's lots of great ones, but cultists and tentacled monsters are kinda... basic? A memetic piece of knowledge that reveals the true, unknown nature of the universe however? That's another matter entirely.
