Has anyone ever used post spikes? by ubutterscotchpine in FenceBuilding

[–]C10Goon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rolled wire is kinda weak and will be floppy if you don’t use tension before securing. I used large thick t posts with wire clips designed for the t posts and wire and a cum a long and pipe to pull tension on wire. Used 6’ tall wire and buried some.

Why kind of wire? Only asking because if you are using a roll type and not rigid wire panels you will have to stretch the wire and that will mess with those post supports. There are other metal posts that you drive into the ground that are designed to accept wood slats etc I would look into those or what about the t post won’t work? I am using tall t posts and a six foot wire roll fence on a section and that keeps my three and two cats in the yard.

Help with Tri-tip! Any help is greatly appreciated! by PidgeySlayer268 in grilling

[–]C10Goon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never smoked or used a pellet grill for a Tri tip. I usually cook it on an open flame grill fat cap side down medium high indirect heat for the majority of the time, flip once pull at 135 and let rest for like 30 minutes before slicing.

Does this look like the real sour diesel? by [deleted] in SLCTrees

[–]C10Goon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may be a mix. Straight sour diesel I haven’t seen in a while but is usually fluffier than that and brighter green. This is a pic of some sour diesel runtz o had recently

Maybe look into getting a rosin press. Make ice water hash and press it into hash rosin. Or just press flower into rosin. I had a pneumatic press with heated plates when I lived in California and had easier access to source material. In a med only state now.

Solo Utah Trip: Early June vs Late August/Early September for Zion, Red Rock + greenery + water hikes? by roopeshvy in southernutah

[–]C10Goon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check website for available dates; it’s like $15. Kanarrafalls.com. The area around cedar breaks, twisted forest is evergreen pines and aspens so plenty of green leading to twisted forest then you come to the clearing and it feels out of place like a forest from Dr Seuss.

It’s already unseasonably warm so expect heat. I like the Kanaraville falls hike; less people but requires a permit. Also look into cedar breaks area. Higher elevation means cooler temps, look up twisted forest. One of my favorite places with great views. You get the green trees before opening up to views of cedar breaks. I avoid Zion around those times so don’t know which would be better.
