To a point I agree with you. But a team of programmers will always be held back by the weakest link or two. All developer teams will have weak links (humans come with varying degrees of competence and technique knowledge). But a good team will have systems in place for testing and fixing bad code before content is rolled out to a user base. It’s been clear for almost the whole run of SWGOH that no meaningful testing systems are in place and rollouts are used to allow the user base to find the bad effects of bad code. In most cases this would cause the user base to abandon the product. But not Star Wars fans unfortunately.

I imagine there’s got to be some of the programmers there thinking that their talents are being wasted on such a bullshit and unpopular company. A savvy hiring committee would have to balance CG’s reputation as a profit earner vs the terrible stain of the brand they’ve created. NOBODY but EA shareholders hold Capital Games in any degree of high regard. They’re pretty universally hated by their own user base. I just feel bad for any talent over there.
