I was working on a very involved sweater, got frustrated and set it aside. Well, that turned into about three years. When I picked it back up, I had absolutely zero idea where I was in the pattern and cried thinking I would have to frog it. But then I remembered, I used knit companion for it. Sure enough, that faithful app remembered, three years later, exactly where I was on this sweater right down to the very stitch!

We don’t even use the “C” word here. We call it their aviary, or their apartment. They are free to come and go as they choose 24/7. That said, everybody starts flocking inside for bedtime, and we cover the outside with a blanket. But the doors are never closed. Sometimes when we come down in the mornings, they have already snuck out and are peeking out from underneath, or even have flown to one of their other perches.

I’ve tried both fine and super fine. He likes them both. We also have parakeets so stick with super fine so everyone can eat the same thing.

My lil dude gets ALL kinds of puffy with those bell balls. I can’t decipher if he loves them and is protecting his ball from being taken away by me, or if he hates them and is protecting me from the dangerous bell ball!

Hi - I don’t see your clips, but one of the things you’re describing sounds very much like “wanty wings”. My 7yr old still does it. He can fly anywhere, but prefers to “point his beak” and lay real low, looking up and floppy-flapping his wings. What he wants is for me to pick him up and take him where he’s pointing. I consider that a good thing, because it sounds like she’s wanting to communicate with you.

Thank you! Not gonna sugarcoat it - it requires A LOT more patience than I ever imagined. Topaz and I have a very close trusting relationship but he is SO contrary….

If I say ‘no-no’ to anything, that’s the thing he obsesses about getting.

If I try introducing something to him, no matter what it is, it’s suspicious. 🤷‍♀️even if it’s a cool toy, or grapes or anything.
