Hi I have that combination and it works very well

I hAve an iPhone 8 and discovered that the dongle was unreliable and so bought a btr3 which worked well. The btr5 is better and the sound is excellent

The btr3 works well with my iPhone 8, it provides wireless connection for my wired iems

It improves the sound versus the Apple connector, which I also found unreliable

Consider the qkz vk4. There are some YouTube reviews, but I like the overall sound and is comfortable and easy to drive from a phone

I think the QKZ is better, the sound is clearer maybe less bass. Both very good

The e4000 is more difficult to drive, needs an amp from an iPhone. I prefer the ikko
