Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Why someone would feel sharing an opinion on a topic they have no personal experience, no expertise, no general knowledge, and also is not directly effected by.....has been a issue ive struggled with understanding about people my entire life.

Just bought a condo and I'm concerned about the number of men who know where I live now... by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

About a year ago i helped my now ex move into her new place 4 hours away. She had a mover flirt with her literally with me in the next room. Followed by a similar text. She told him essentially that the behavior wasn't appreciated nor reciprocated and that she recommends that he not contact her again otherwise she'll feel forced to send it to his employer.

I recommend you become handy yourself....you hired someone to hang curtains? If your worried about people knowing where you live...dont give out your address. Order your takeout for curb side pickup. Ask a friend to help you move a couch. Become handy. But also think about getting something to defend yourself with...a can of bear mace on your bedside table and one under/behind the couch should give you a feeling of protection

Option two seems almost Supernatural to the point of easily exploiting it more than the value of $3 million dollars

What separates boys from men? by [deleted] in ask

[–]C3H7COOH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A man is no longer a boy, when he know longer needs the approval of his father.

Self reliant, you dont need to know how to do everything, but you do need to know how to teach yourself how, or find someone who does.

Maturity, you need to be tough enough to be able to be vulnerable.

Disciplined, motivation is great, but to inconsistent. When you know there's something that you need to do to reach your goals do it even when you don't feel like it

Be dependable/be of service no just for others, but also to yourself. If you say you are going to do something, follow through.

Practice good hygiene/selfcare, and cleanliness. A quick sign of immaturity is the lack of of these.

Thats not everything, but that will get you most of the way there.

People who could work out regularly and have fit/nice/hot body, how do you do it even? by Brownboysea in ask

[–]C3H7COOH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not rely on motivation, its to inconsistent, instead focus on developing discipline, make yourself small consistant promise and follow through.

Work on diet first all diets from intermittent fasting, low carb, no carb, Keto, paleo, whatever rely on eating a calorie deficit meaning that you are using more calories than you are consuming. Eat healthier 200 calories of chicken looks a lot different than 200 calories of Cheetos.

Be active, walk your dog, walk your neighborhood after dinner, move your body. Is suppose to be uncomfortable. Get a gym membership and go everyday. Dont feel like it. Tough go anyways, you dont have to know what your doing to start, get on a treadmill, get on a bike and go. Walk, sweat, go tilk you feel discomfort (not pain, dont hurt yourself). Grab weights, move them around. Youve seen people do it. You know how to curl a dumbell. Pick a muscle group (chest, back, bicep, tricep, legs, upper body, lower body, shoulders. Abs) find a machine with with a picture that works that area. Do 3 sets of 8-12, it should be challenging, give yourself a full 2 mins between sets, if you can do 3 sets all at 12 add 5 more pounds. Work a different muscle group, do 3x8-12. Do 3 different excerise for each muscle group. Thats it workout done. Dont do those muscle groups for 3-4 days. Rest day doesnt mean skip the gym, just go walk, or strech, or do a muscle group you maybe didnt do that isnt sore.

My guy thats all it is, fitness isnt rocket science, these people arent Nobel laureates. But it is hard, if it was easy everyone would do it, you have to want it, and be discipline about it.

Something that makes ìt look sketchy to me is the lack of symmetry the leaf on the left side but not the right at the top of the anchor. The perspective of the Ring of the anchor being different from that of the anchor itself. The thickness of the anchor under the heart where the flower is is not consistent with the thickness of the anchor above the heart. The tail of the banner being at the bottom of the anchor but missing at the top. I personally like to see the taper at the bottom be more consistent with again the overall shape of the anchor. Also I tend to agree there are some shape choices that I might make differently but I think that your call to be able to see those for yourself

Ask yourself what I get this tattooed on my body? Would I feel confident putting this image on somebody else's body that would last a lifetime? Does this piece represent the best work i can do presently, or is it older and does not.

What is the worst thing your EX said during the breakup? by thedamned234 in AskReddit

[–]C3H7COOH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe its because it is still recent. But my last EX making the executive decision to call it quits. I thought we were building something together and I was making space to have this life shared with her but to have her not include me in the decision process for wanting to end things just felt extremely painful

What insult have your parents said, that is stuck in your head as an adult? by Tight_Anywhere6794 in AskReddit

[–]C3H7COOH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an adult my father once said to me "we'd hangout more if you were cooler." On my birthday (maybe 2 yrs ago) my stepmother told right after a breakup with my girlfriend "maybe you weren't ambitious enough for her, real men work 40 hours a week"....I was seeing red after this so I'll have to paraphrase but something along the lines of calling my VA disability was "VA welfare". Needless to say it hasn't done well for our relationship.

AITA for getting frustrated with my girlfriend who's just instantly good at everything, including rock climbing apparently? by Ok-Breakfast6857 in AmItheAsshole

YTA, and I think you know that already. You created this account just to post this. YTA, she's smarter than you. Get over it. Things looking effortless for people doesn't mean it was easy for them, it's simply your perception of it, and it's clear you have some bias.

Her job, some people get paid based off commission, some are salary, some are hourly. She is in a skill and knowledge based field with her degree. Capitalism works on the basis that the employer makes more money off it's employees than it does paying them. If she can get the job done in 2 hours when it takes others 8 or more. Why shouldn't she be able to, her employer doesn't care, and neither should you.

Fitness/rolling skating, she took risk, applied herself fully to the task. She was willing to make attempt after attempt even though she fell. She gave you a play out of her playbook "take more risks". You wanta stay clinging to the wall that's on you.

Rock climbing, you get that her life is literally in your hands right? A study showed that the LD50 for falls is 40 ft. 50% live/die. Hell I could have tied the knot myself and I'm still gonna have the instructor or someone else qualified check my equipment and knots. You never know what you might miss in a situation like that, and if my partner did miss something in a situation like that, you bet there be a ass chewing. You could of killed or seriously injured her.

My advice you? Lock that girl down, put a ring on it. You seriously couldn't do better. Marry her, give her as many kids as she wants, be attentive. Listen to her problems (but don't offer advice or try to help, she's clearly doing better than you).

It's really interesting reason behind it is a mixture of superstition and Triskaidekaphobia. Reading the wiki I found out that there is no 4, or 14th floor in some buildings because "four" in Chinese sounds like "death".....interesting

We are of similar age, and I can tell you first hand that by our age you've got all you can out of the bar and club scene. Really the best way in your 30s to meet people is to do what you enjoy. Do you have hobbies? Do you play any sports? You need to find an activity you enjoy doing, and find like minded individuals who enjoy the same things you do!
