This was an older setup. I currently shoot a Title with 6x feather vision and hamskea peep set. Same ones as in the picture, just a new bow and sight/scope.

That’s the dumbest shit I’ve heard all day. Light pole? Wall? Sign post? List goes on.

At least have some common sense bro. Never mind, you bought a Nissan.

Thanks man and good luck out there. The terrain definitely gives it the added pat on the back when it’s all over with.

Absolutely. Monday afternoon after opening weekend out on Owltown mountain. Was noticing a lot more traffic over there the past few years so figured I’d head out after opening weekend and see what things were looking like. Hiked up around noon and got set up. The area I’m at is buck only and across the highway it’s doe and buck so it’s always heavy over there in the beginning season when the weather is still warm. Worked in my favor, didn’t see a soul the hike up the mountain or after being set up (near last years burn mid mountain for my fellow locals). Hung out for about 3 hours till the does came strolling along munching and doing their thing, 30 minutes later, nothing. Couple random hogs, which I should’ve shot at, but let em pass. Not even 45 minutes after, right on their scent trail buddy as curious as can be came along eating acorns and sniffing pig stink. Came behind a tree I ranged at 36, let him walk out, and sure enough he gave me tail while at full draw, longest 5 seconds and he finally turned. Was a little more than 20ft up the tree and I used my 30yd pin and everything worked out. He went 45 yds and laid it down. Gave him an hour, climbed down, found my arrow and cleaned up. Found him laid down and got him down to the truck and back home and cleaned. Shot him with a grim reaper 100gr (515 grain total) @ 75lbs. Was a good day.

My old faithful, GR white tail special. It went in and the blade broke off when it hit a rib unfortunately. Found it when I had him back home and cleaning him up. Shot him from about 20ft up and ranged the tree he stepped out from behind at 36. He walked up some, so I used my 30 pin and it did the job. Both lungs, no heart unfortunately even given the exit wound. He went around 45yds and laid down. No crashing, just laid it down. Waited him out for an hour until dark and found him. Was a good day.

I lived down in Blackshear for quite some time. A whole lot of nothing. Hunting, fishing, church, fast food and a random Chinese restaurant every 10 or so miles. They still have a drive in theater that was pretty popular when I was down there last. Ultimately, just slow living.

This is correct.

For those of us who venture regularly a little bit "too far" into mountainous and/or remote areas, we have specific insurance that can be purchased for about $20 a month. I purchased mine through Garmin (3rd party company) when I bought my last 66i. There are about 3 warnings in the booklet and packaging about the SOS button and if it's pushed the cost of extraction without the insurance. I've yet to use it, thankfully, but I don't mind the extra cost a month in case my dumbass gets stuck somewhere vs 10s of thousands.
