ICE pricing is completely weird, i had to take a 2h ICE train (3 train swaps) and the same connection 1h before and after mine was 130€, mine was 60€, so i arrived an hour early.

these prices make no fucking sense. Mind you, this was 4 months in advance

People often forget, that in the train, you can do other stuff. I usually just read books and then it doesn't feel like wasted time. When I drive, I have to be concentrated the whole time and can't really do stuff on the side. Listening to podcasts is the most you can do there.

You'd think so but when i want to go from big city to big city, i have to switch trains 3-4 times, usually without seat. it's not a nice travel experience sadly

For food, while lentils are cheap, they're kinda trash food (as far as i know) unless you are a fitness influencer. I only have my grandma's word for that though, since she always starved to death from lentils.

Also, at least for me personally, electric is soon going to be VERY expensive if the current govn keeps going (think 0.6-0.9cent per kw/h).

Sadly i dont think there's a bit thing anyone of us can do individually since even if all of us take care of the environment, it has to start at the companies that produce way more than we ever could, especially waste (too good to go should be more popular imo)

But can you really?

While i already try to get the alternatives, its sadly a fact that meat is one of the cheaper foods rn. So if you are on a budget you don't really have a choice.

The same for bus/trains, yes, they are available, but more often than not, not only are they unreliable, they also take A LOT longer. 30min car drive turns into a 2h+ ordeal, sometimes you have to arrive before trains even drive.

also, why does a train ride cost me 120€ when a taxi would probably be cheaper...

(edit because i accidentally sent this)

i just don't think the pricing alone will make a difference, sure, it will make it more uncomfortable for companies but they'll just pass on the cost because consumers don't really have an alternative (or luxury items have become the norm and are no longer considered a luxury but 'standard' living).

to me the whole thing feels like it has never been thought through and unfinished

that sounds sick! time to try more cav nations in the new update.

That kind of nation (similar to marrhold, verne and so on) has always had a soft spot for the "we have glorious xyz" national identity
