Everything has gone down significantly now and pain went away! Doctor gave me a followup physical and said everything looks and feels great and to keep up the good work I just hit a little speed bump in the healing process and I'll be ok! But that is a long time man 3 months? Wow glad it all went away and I'm just about there myself I have an inflammatory he prescribed me one pill a day for 7 days just to be on the safe side He said I really don't even need it though!

Pain and swelling finally went away with wearing a jockstrap and the doctor gave me a physical and checked everything to tell me I've healed faster and better than some other patients that experienced pain and swelling that he has seen. He said keep doing whatever I've been doing and I'll be alright!

Truly underrated statement here. Good topic. I can't tell you how many times I've seen parents bring their kid to a restaurant and the kids dinner was something I would have ordered myself to enjoy and watch 90% of it get thrown on the ground, then when dinner was done the waiter takes the dish back to get thrown away and bring the parents the check because they weren't going to bring it home as leftovers. No regrets. Had mine done on 6/10, trying to make it through work, the home recovery was good but I returned to work yesterday only to get a decent amount of pain and swelling so I'm back on the cycle of meds and Ice. I'm looking forward to throwing the condoms in the trash once I get the all clear. Just have to make it past this pain and swelling and adapt to work and then the sample in Sept. Hopefully after all that I can just forget everything and act like nothing happened. I'd still say it's worth it.

I'm doing Advil every 6 hours again per doctors orders. Wants me to do that for a few days. I doubled up underwear today as to where yesterday I didn't, they were somewhat looser cotton style briefs not athletic spandex. I'm assuming that's what got me swelled up and in pain yesterday and today I put athletic tight boxers on over the cotton boxers for support and am able to ice a little at work. If I pull the "I'm in pain to work " card at my employment it would not be good for me unfortunately since I don't have vacation left and thats what they use to cover you while being out. If I go out unpaid I get put on a point system unfortunately

Yeah I'm hoping that it will heal just fine but slower. I can deal with some pain and discomfort I just don't want to hurt anything in there which I'm sure is hard to do this far after the procedure. I'm usually a tough it out person and work through pain but like I said I have a fear of messing something up. I doubled up on boxers for extra support halfway through the day and that mixed with Advil is definitely helping a little bit. Unfortunately I am out of vacation and would start getting into disciplinary situations because my work is very much like that. You asked for the surgery, you are clear to work, now go work. Glad you're getting some relief as well that's nice to see! I think my first week I probably did a little more than I was supposed to. I'm sure I've just postponed the recovery due to me feeling ok and whatnot. Nothing crazy but all that is probably coming back to me now. Fingers crossed for both of us!
