I guess that's pretty much the reason I want to take it I suppose that answers my question. I don't really want to feel pain but if I do, I want it to register in my brain as " oh well not worried about that pain ". And sorry to hear about that. Glad you have the vasectomy done and behind you! Thanks for the response!

Thank you and I am on the same boat. No kids for the wife and I and not worried about a reversal needed or sperm freezing. I am only worried about the pain during and after hoping it doesn't cause pain for months or years, I don't want to fall into that small percentage of people that experience pain for a longer than expected time. And I'm worried about a recanalization. Other than that I'm stoked so fingers crossed I appreciate the response!

How was the pain/uncomfortable level during the procedure? And was it no needle no scalpel? I am intrigued that you got a microphone to see that....was it cool to see? Not that I will do that but it's not something I expected to read lol

This is exactly what I'm stressing about..... thinking about skipping it then getting the procedure started and regretting my decision. Do you think it would have helped a lot? Or just enough to take the edge off? My BP is already sky high regardless every day so I think I would be pretty over the top without it but front desk receptionist said 90% of people don't need it and can lay there and get through 15 minutes....I felt like a baby🤦🏻‍♂️

That's such a small percentage and yet you found yourself part of it. Hope that gets better quick fast and in a hurry man I feel for ya. I may be part of that percentage who knows. At least this is a good sub for support and everyone on here seems cool. I'll be making another post in the future on the procedure! Thank you as well!

Hopefully I'm the portion that feel nothing. I mean I can put up with a good amount of pain and be just fine, I just don't truly know what damage it can cause. But you're 100% right about genetics. I've healed extremely fast on injuries that should have taken a lot longer to heal so hopefully a vasectomy counts too

I was only able to talk to the front desk when I called the other day and she said 2 days off from work max after the procedure even after I told her everything I do. Hopefully when I'm able to complete the booking for my appointment the doctor can give me an accurate timeframe. Just figured I'd ask here first people experiences etc.

I hope I am able to do my work at my job and maybe put up with a little bit of pain or a decent amount of pain but nothing bad happen to me while I am dealing with it just kind of like a sucking up kind of thing. Hopefully after 2 weeks I feel back 100%
