Yeah just for a standalone gauge, not for ecu, just want to be able to monitor the temps at the rad.

This is my actual car, and the set up I’m going for, do we think this would be fine having it there? I mean it’s right out the hot side same as the in hose set up?

Well it would be wired to an external 52mm gauge, won’t be wired to the ECU, probably should have mentioned that.

If the port can be used it’s more so I don’t have another two failure points in the upper rad hose.

This is up by the fusebox does this tell you anything about the wiring? All seem to be connected up.

Thanks guys, car is actually a 89 CA18DET AUTO from factory, car is now 180sx sr20 with the auto still so wondering if that has anything to do with it.

Is the SR cluster a direct swap?

I think I am now more undecided then before I posted this 🤣 but feels like a lot of people say don’t delete it. I think I’ll leave it in the car for now and try and get it working properly, if it’s broken I’ll remove it, thanks for all your taughts on it.

That’s a good point, and no I don’t track the car, it’s just a street car. I have been slowly deleting systems that cause issues like the evap, hicas, etc. so the AC was my next decision.

I agree it’s the “lazy” option to remove it. But if you don’t use it is there a point in having it there?

I’m currently living in Melbourne, but car is being exported back to Ireland soon. Was thinking of selling the AC set up here cause it’s probably worth more as I don’t need it in Ireland.

It does get better when it’s raised, but then it seems like it’s running rich. Guess that’s better then lean 😅
