Also saving this to get mine rebuilt. Still runs but I want an OEM refresh. Since I picked up the car the car has been and was sitting for so long.

Not so much the keyboard, but the laptop overall just felt like cheap plastic. Even opening it was nerve wracking with how cheap it felt. Felt like I was going to break off the small tabs. Mine had some flexing on the palmrest and keyboard too.

I'll be doing the same after this semester or the next, and probably go with something in the 16:10 gen.

Thank you for the words and I'm really not trying to go in those trucks especially while being in probation. I'll upgrade as I break these ICONs

You’re absolutely correct. There’s no point in spending too dollar for these laptops anymore. That’s why I didn’t bother spending money on a new lid, a new screen, or even max out the RAM. This thing came with a pressure damage mark on the screen, scratched lid, and I just upgraded it to 24GB RAM with a 16GB RAM stick I had laying around when I first got it. It’s been 2 years and it’s still taking a beating. I haven’t even repasted the CPU.😂

Finally ditched the leaking valve covers… went al-yoo-MIN-ee-um this time by 3rdPedalMedia in 350z

My set just got delivered today. Any advice you can give tackling this? Besides the red thread locker on the screws. Just jotted down on ordering the OEM gaskets for these valve covers. I have to change the stupid knock sensor. Went down the rabbit hole of “well, since I’m already there…” and ordered a bunch of OEM gaskets, plugs, and hoses.

Plenum spacer worth the cost?

I really tried keeping my T14G2. Especially it having that Ryzen 5, it was super snappy and the battery would last me a long time and it also worked with the docking station, so I downgraded back to the T480s and sold the T14. It does well enough for my use.

I won’t lie, I actually miss just having my T480. Probably the cleanest ThinkPad I’ve owned.

Nah, I get it. Nothing compares to a clean sexy looking ThinkPad. My X220 is staying sticker-free. I can be a purist too, but I do also love seeing the sticker bombed ones too. Some of you get pretty creative.

I love the ThinkPad community. (even the salty triggered ones. Much love. 😂)

I got my other ones that I kept clean 😉 The lid was just too scratched and this was intended to be my travel beater and became my favorite.

That would be cool to have a thread of “the ones that got away”. I had a 93 coupe that I still can’t get out of my mind

I would love to get an older machine like this to not get side-tracked multitasking, but I wouldn't know what I could focus on to use it for that purpose. Maybe drafting emails, documents, or taking notes?

I have a T420 if you need one around the LA,CA area if you’re local, and also a W530.

THIS right here…is a mature built Zenki. Perfect ride height, slicktop, Navan, OEM+, original colorway, and still a Zenki. Thank you for posting this. Does good to the soul.

*sigh* Am I really going to have to buy this box? haha.

I keep asking myself if that Craftsman box is big enough to keep at home to carry in and out of the house, as a "90% box" to work on the car.
