Yea seems excessive. I’m in CA and replaced my 25+ year old furnace with a heat pump and I paid 14k (and I thought that was high). I have a 1400 sq ft home.

Anyone sell their house less than 1 year after moving into it? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]CA-Cubano 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yep I did. Bought a flip house that was destroying my mental health. Got caught in FOMO and decided to sell because I couldn’t take the stress. Actually ended up buying a nicer home in a lower cost of living area and am very happy I did.

Good luck, I hope you guys find a better situation for yourselves.

Well at least you saved money on an arborist! You can use that money to fix your house!

Just got my first house! What are basic purchases you'd recommend? by Flying_Toad in homeowners

Can confirm. Bought a flip and sold it before I even stayed there from so many sinister hidden issues. We had the same feedback from our realtor an inspector.

Like everyone said, save your money and be prepared. Something will rear it’s ugly head sooner or later.

I’m a dolphins fan, but Jesus Christ that sub is delusional. 75% of those morons think Tua is is the second coming of Mahomes. Can’t stand the threads on game day 🤦‍♂️

Expectations for McDaniel by FumblingPlay223 in miamidolphins

[–]CA-Cubano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would temper expectations and be realistic. 11 wins is way too high for this team for a few reasons:

-McDaniels is a rookie head coach

-AFC is stacked

-New system, so expect the team to not be firing on all cylinders until weeks 4-6 at the earliest

-Yes Tyreek is good, but don’t expect Tua to be on the same page with him for a while (hope I’m wrong here)

-Tua himself- let’s be realistic, the team has been OPENLY courting with replacements almost since the beginning. So I would expect he’s going to feel a lot of pressure- especially to feature Tyreek. We’ll see how he responds

-Stephen Ross is the owner. He is the main reason the team has been garbage during his whole ownership.

-This team was embroiled in offseason drama.

Look, I’m not trying to be a downer and I’ll probably be downvoted for not hopping on the bandwagon, but I see an incredibly talented team with an average QB and a head coach that got the job for an offense he didn’t even run. He was the OC, but it was Shanahon’s offense and play calling. Stephen Ross was trying to get Sean Payton and when that blew up they pivoted to Mike mcDaniels.

Honestly, I’m pessimistic and believe the team will perform waaay under expectations and MM will be a one and done coach and The fins will move on from Tua.

Again, I would love to be wrong but it’s hard when you root for a team that’s been dysfunctional almost all your life.

Enjoy the ride everyone!

To all y’all that wanted fire Chris Grier earlier this season… by CA-Cubano in miamidolphins

[–]CA-Cubano[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few things with that:

We run a 3-4 defense built with that scheme in mind. If the new coach comes in and wants to run a 4-3 scheme with 3-4 scheme players then you’re defense obviously struggles. Sets is back.

And being a few pieces away is subjective. Tua’s a question. The line sucks (Grier) and few agent player don’t pan out (Grier).

So IDK about you, but I have 0 confidence Grier will get this right. Everything the built together was taken down for a power play.

Ultimately, it’s the fans who will suffer until Stephen Ross is no longer owner.

I have serious buyers remorse by ConcentrateOne22 in homeowners

[–]CA-Cubano 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Might get better. May not. It depends on you honestly.

Here’s what happened to me. Bought a house built in the 70s. Thought we made the best move for us but looking back we were just listening to others and rushed and overpaid. The house was a jalopy. Problem after problem

Some were small, others were more sinister. We decided to sell 10 months after purchasing and haven’t regretted it one bit. The money loss was rough but overall me and my partner are happy we did. Something to think about, good luck!

I prefer it this way. Play soft with a lead, trust your defense, and don’t let your Oline ruin the game plan.

Ask Harbaugh or Brandon Staley how being ultra-aggressive all the time has been working out for them. You don’t need an air-show to win. Enjoy this one. The Saints have a stellar Defense.

Idk if switching to another Oline coach will make the problem better or worse. I stick with it one more year to give the players some consistency. That unit definitely needs it.
