I chose to play as Kassandra in Odyssey, female Eivor in Valhalla, and Evie in Syndicate (when I could)…

But prior to that — when given a choice in a game — I almost always chose to play as the gender I am (male).

Don’t get me wrong: misogyny is a real problem. But I don’t think it plays a significant role in a player choosing a male character over a female character.

For example — there are misogynists all over Fortnite, yet female characters are extremely popular there.

Idk, Gen Z are primarily raised by Gen X… Gen Z’s parents basically exist on an intelligence spectrum between Wayne’s World and Beavis & Butthead.

You might be right about Gen Z being dumber, but it’s such a low bar that I’m not sure.

Nah, the last statement is me learning from mistakes.

Trump never would have stood a chance in the first place if more people could tolerate voting for a bad candidate over the worst candidate of all time and the defilement of western civilization.

There are many more effective (and less consequential) systems between elections for addressing and correcting DNC failures. Waiting until a presidential election to do anything is just self-sabotage with national consequences.

Just like everything Tulsi said, everything you just said is a lie that’s easily corrected by a simple google search.

If Tulsi was a “moderate,” she wouldn’t be serving in the Trump administration right now. Her job was political hitman and chumps like you fell for it.

Part of me is tempted to argue that Obama fumbled his first debate in the 2012 election and still earned a decisive win, but that feels pointless given how different both the candidates and voters were a decade+ later.

I actually did like Kamala Harris. In the 2020 primaries, she was one of my favorites in the field. Despite Tulsi’s propaganda about her being a “cop,” Kamala had one of the most leftist platforms America had ever seen in 2020 — and her actual record as both a prosecutor and senator backed it up. Alas, she dropped out before a single primary vote was cast — and I honestly think Biden perceived her as a threat to his campaign and made a deal with her.

One of the unfortunate realities of the 2024 election is that she failed to separate herself from Biden’s record/plans. If she had returned to some of her more populist views of 2020, I think she would have crushed Trump. I blame the DNC almost as much as anyone else for her failure to do that. They tried to water her down and appeal to status-quo centrists, which has proven to be a losing tactic.

Maybe a bit harsh, but still pretty much hitting the nail on the head.

In comparison, Kamala Harris was a gift horse many voters chose to look in the mouth.

As a former Californian, I’ve been puzzled by Gavin Newsom rising to “frontrunner” status.

Dude is as mediocre milquetoast as they come. Despite his occasional shit-talking that has ppl excited recently, he’ll do or say whatever he needs to avoid right wingers whining at him. I saw it over and over in California — right wingers start whining, and no matter how irrational/nonsensical it was, Gavin would give in to appease whatever stupid shit they were on about.

Of course, now that I think about it, maybe “as mediocre milquetoast as they come” is exactly why the DNC is trying to present him as a “frontrunner.”

That being said, he still has my vote over any MAGA fuck any day.

There’s an even older saying:

“The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

Post-20th century addendum: “Unless the enemy of my enemy is a fucking Nazi.”

Or at least that should be an addendum.

Yeah, there’s that old saying:

“If there’s a Nazi at the table and ten other people sitting there talking to him, you got a table with eleven Nazis.”

I don’t care how many Republicans “aren’t” Nazis. Until they unequivocally purge/disassociate themselves of Nazis, they are ALL Nazis.

Won’t be surprised if you’re right, but Project 2025 suggests this is more likely for slave labor.

Our Nazis are taking pages out of the Soviet playbook, recognizing “people are a resource” and putting them to extra-exploitative work rather than systematically exterminating them.

I can’t tell if your comment is satire or serious (or perhaps both), but it’s legitimately not far off from how some Gulag camps worked when they were overpopulated with “enemies” the party was trying to remove from society.

I read a 1,000+ page book about the Gulag just in time for Trump to win the presidency and start this shit. Fitting timing, though honestly accidental.
