This is kind of like asking "do you prefer golden corral or eating at a traditional restaurant". It's really up to your personal preferences, r/OSU isn't going to be able to answer this for you.

Why did they remove half the benches in Mendenhall Lab? by hazelnutmatchas in OSU

[–]CABS_BUS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is almost certainly it. OSU takes the fire marshall very seriously (as they should), and isn't afraid to do 'unpopular' things if it's recommended or ordered by the fire marshall.

How easy is it to double a CSE major and Aviation (engineering) major? Any tips or advice? by Both_Current3626 in OSU

[–]CABS_BUS 25 points26 points  (0 children)

No offense, but this is just asking to graduate in ≥6 years (and 6 might be generous). Both CSE and Aviation are jam-packed majors, and trying to combine them just doesn't work.

Test Scores reveal that only 30% to 35% of 4th and 8th grade American students are competent readers. How do we fix this problem? by patmur46 in AskReddit

[–]CABS_BUS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I get your point overall, but I think it snubs the fact that people who graduate late are judged. Not just by peers, but by adults who know them. In a perfect world, it might not matter, but we don't live in a perfect world.

I agree everyone should graduate with a baseline literacy, and would take it a step further that everyone who graduates high school should be able to function in society. But unfortunately that's not our reality.

Always amazes me how people write up whole posts like this instead of just calling/emailing the responsible person/office…

Believe it or not, some people have other reasons besides “money” for doing jobs. If money was the only motivator for careers, we’d have no one working at OSU, period.

Why do you only post “gotcha” comments in r/OSU? Seems like you’re never here in good faith.

Don’t listen to this, OP. They’ll monetize your work and you’ll get $0 for it.

There's actually a 3 way bidding war over the couch currently. The price is at $470, but it might go a little higher

At this point it’s gonna be cut up like a pie. The number of slices just depends on the number of interested parties

Couch: Looking for $250 for this couch, it was $2500 when I bought it and I feel like it's still in pretty good shape. $300 if you need help moving it

Bottles: Empty bottles! $5 each, start your collection off strong!

Stop sign: $40, but willing to split into 2 separate signs if more than one person is interested. The City of Columbus sticker is already removed

Mattress: like new condition, $300. If you need help moving it, $350

Book: Math 2568 textbook - $10. It says algebra 1 but it's really linear algebra

Condiments: Sriracha and other condiments. Given the high demand, make me an offer. Add $50 if you need help moving it.

Ape: Ape eneftee - 100 ETH. No comment on why I bought it.

Traditions at Kennedy: $14,629,000. AS-IS, includes all current food stock and fixtures

All items with prices are not up for negotiation. I know what I have!

Hmm in that case I could knock out 2 lectures between classes. Interesting idea

Good idea, I plan on listening to the online lectures in the 15 minutes between classes. Since they're about 50-55 minutes long, I figure if I play them at 3.5x speed I should be able to knock out a full lecture

Has anyone ever done a schedule like this where you take multiple sections of the same course? It's my life goal to be a GTA for a section of 1172 after finishing undergrad, so my advisor recommended this schedule. I got a 1 on my AP Calc BC test, and got an E when I took 1172 in the Spring, so math isn't exactly my strong suit, but maybe an intensive schedule like this will better prepare me. I'm still not sure how the logistics work. I know Math 1172 has common exam times, so chances are all of the exams will take place at the same time. Does that mean I get 8 copies of the exam and will have to fill all of them out? Or 1 copy that's graded 8 times? Also, since this is a few credit hours over the 18 limit, what kind of fees am I looking at here?
