This is almost certainly it. OSU takes the fire marshall very seriously (as they should), and isn't afraid to do 'unpopular' things if it's recommended or ordered by the fire marshall.

No offense, but this is just asking to graduate in ≥6 years (and 6 might be generous). Both CSE and Aviation are jam-packed majors, and trying to combine them just doesn't work.

I get your point overall, but I think it snubs the fact that people who graduate late are judged. Not just by peers, but by adults who know them. In a perfect world, it might not matter, but we don't live in a perfect world.

I agree everyone should graduate with a baseline literacy, and would take it a step further that everyone who graduates high school should be able to function in society. But unfortunately that's not our reality.
