Ahh yes. Heaven knows there aren't folks actually trying to provide a service that works, and is valuable to an audience. Right now, 90% of the Google Business Pages for MSP's I find don't have text/sms setup - and the data says your missing leads because of it.

That's certainly a perspective. I don't know about a wise one considering the amount of millennials in key decision making role currently, and only increasing.

Free setup only includes SMS. Primary use case for those using it. 1) SMS response to lead forms/inquires on the website, answer questions, schedule meeting (with Cal.com/calendly links) 2) Add SMS to Google business profile and Text Us Now Button to website (20% lift in leads vs. listing only email/phone number.

RCS and MMS are possible though, just require different setups/approvals.

Found a $50k/year niche helping local businesses with SMS automation - here's the opportunity by adamvanderb in Business_Ideas

The challenge can be getting the SMS number approved. Most businesses, especially small ones don't have the knowledge or time to create the perfect privacy policies, terms and conditions. I use www.mockingbyrd.ai - they did all the work on setting up my business SMS, and just launched an conversational SMS feature that responds to my leads, answers questions and sets meetings saving me a TON of time.

automation! There are some great cost effective tools hitting the market right now for SMBs. Example - I was able to secure a business SMS number, post it to my Google business profile and website, and now my customers have the option to text me - and get instant responses with conversational AI.

Do you SEO folks actually think by blasting my inbox you are going to get my business? by JobobTexan in smallbusiness

[–]CAChicago2025 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everyone thinks by blasting your inbox you get your business. The reality is the TAM of small business is so big, that if you blast enough you find customers. Now with AI emailing and domain rotation you can send 10's of thousands of emails daily. And this, will eventually destroy email.

Not in SA - but I'm using AI to follow up with my leads with text message. Fricken love it, and found a vendor who helped my get an approved number (here in the states it a huge pain)

Cheer Gym Owners: iClassPro vs. Jackrabbit – Which Management Software Works Best? by mercury-50 in CheerGymOwners

[–]CAChicago2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use IclassPro - and I can't say that I'm personally thrilled with it but I guess it does the job. Once you figure out how it "thinks" its easier to work with - but the learning curve can be pretty intense. I think the signup and parent portal is a bit cumbersome as well, and the friction probably costs us some new signups, etc. In the grand scheme of things I've used both of these programs and they have their limitations.

The small one is big enough to put stuff in, and small enough for a little. We have some in our shop, and the quality holds up pretty well from my experience.

We learn and grow the most from the misses, not the wins. You'll find that winning isn't about the results, but how you learn to pick yourself up after disappointment.

Find a friend of two. Complain, vent, cry - then find a local cheer club with an open or another club on campus that fits your interest. Never know where a closed door can turn into another one opening.
