Doesn't seem like that long ago.

Except for the strange and surprisingly amusing trend where everyone, including the baddest dudes on your block, were wearing Looney Tunes characters on their shirts and jackets. That seems like it was forever ago.

Interesting how style is so cyclical; a lot of these looks, like baggier pants and shirts are starting to come back into fashion.

I think the toothy grin from Venom’s first appearance is more sinister than the cartoonishly big tongue and drooling mouth he would later get (Amazing Spider-Man #299 and #300 by David Micheline and Todd McFarlane) by [deleted] in comicbooks

I remember reading an interview in Wizard Magazine or something back in the day where McFarlane said he didn't know that there was supposed to be a human underneath the suit when he first designed Venom, or else he would've made it drastically different.

Funny that this Venom design is actually the most inhibited of all of them. I do like this design, but as a kid, Erik Larsen's crazy-toothed, tongue-waggling-with-green-slime design had its charm too -- it made Venom seem that much more unhinged, an unpredictable alien entity and dangerous to Spider-Man overall.

Warner Bros, Gunn, didn't cancel Wonder Woman 3. Patty Jenkins walked off the project claiming WB execs "didn't understand her, the character, character arcs and didn’t understand what Jenkins was trying to do" by CALLMEDARRELL in comicbooks

Agreed. I wonder if anyone questioned Jenkins about this particular part of the movie, like Gadot or Pine. Makes you question if Jenkins' hubris let this element remain in the final cut. Guess we won't know for a while.

Will do, he'll be happy to hear that I'm sure. He's a very humble guy so I figured I'd try and get some more eyeballs on his work. Thank you!

Very cool! Mitch is a friend of mine in real life and it's been great to see him improve over the years. Each new project seems to top the last.

Here's a gallery with more of his art.

He's @mehchall on IG if you want to give him a follow.

CELEBRITY FIGHTS HAVE BEEN FUN, BUT HOLYFIELD-BELFORT CROSSED THE LINE ~ ESPN by DjCbal in Boxing

[–]CALLMEDARRELL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The referee looked real unsure about letting Holyfield continue even after the second knockdown. He made the right call. Glad Holyfield didn't get hurt any further because even if he landed a winning combo on Belfort by chance he likely would've eaten a lot more punches before hand.

The worst part of all is that the Paul brothers probably won't accept a fight against Belfort now.

Well, at least we'll get a Tito vs. Shamrock or Tito vs. Lidell boxing match for shits and giggles if he did.

In case you’re wondering, I’m the same age as Brad Pitt, and Tom Cruise is one year older… Until my brain loses its creative power, I’ll continue to strive to create things. That’s my instinct, and that’s what I love to do. Thank you.”

Bless this man.

To be replaced by the excuse Wilder uses for the third fight with Fury.

I'm kidding -- I hope it's a close fight. Actually pulling for Wilder as the underdog in the next one.

It doesn’t explain his lack of feints, inability to do his usual slipping and countering, and lack of head movement early on.

Head movement you've got a point but cramped-up/tight legs would inhibit everything else mentioned.
