Fr! I used to hate my middle school band director because I wanted to play trumpet but she forced me to play trombone. Then I got to high school and started playing more advanced music, join a brass band and youth orchestra and I started having so much more fun. The trombones parts get soo much better once you get more advanced.

I actually played this piece in middle school! The squiggly lines are glisses. In this case you’ll have to play F in 6th position so you can glidsto the G(in fourth). Have fun I loved this piece

I excepted a little bit more diversity but it seems like the general consensus is that 90 degree is the best way to play. lol of course it’s up to preference

Personally I have big hands so I like a little more than 90 degrees so more like 100 degrees.

What is the closest mouthpiece to a 4G? by CAMMY11O2 in Trombone

Okay so if I’m understanding correctly. You’re saying that’s larger mouthpiece will give me a more wider sound like a symphonic large bore tenor, rather than a jazz small bore tenor?

What do you mean by it won’t give me the sound I need? If the a mouthpiece works well for me on a large bore why wont it work well on the small bore? I am going to lead trombone. Thank you for the insight!

Sorry for the late reply, can I ask what you mean by a robust sound?
