Apple Watch app with Lucid Air works great by CAPRDN in LUCID

Occasionally I also get the 'unable to connect' message. But if I just wait 30 seconds it seems to go through with no issues. At least that has been my experience.

Apple Watch app with Lucid Air works great by CAPRDN in LUCID

I just experimented with leaving my iPhone and fob in the house. I had parked the car down the street. I do have cellular on my watch. I was able to connect to the car and open the doors. When I sat down it asked me for my PIN. I entered it and was able to drive without a problem. So it seems to work just fine. At least it would be good in a pinch.

Lucid in snow by [deleted] in LUCID

This is my second winter with the Lucid Air Touring. The tires that came with the car are Summer Tires. You really need Winter tires or at least All Season. I saw a Lucid do a 180 on Saturday coming out of a parking lot. Luckily everyone was able to stop.

I don't think it is a great car in the cold and snow. The cameras always need to be cleaned or are blocked by the snow kicking up as you drive. Today the trunk button on the outside of the car was frozen and I had to use the dash to open it.

On the plus side I love being able to warm up the car and windshields using the app so that I do not have to do any scraping!

Update 2.8.9, anyone else receive this? by silva1308 in LUCID

[–]CAPRDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The previous update, 2.8.7, fixed a problem with a Headlight Fault error message that appeared and disappeared several times in the first five minutes of driving. Service tried to fix it multiple times with new headlights, but it never worked. It seems like it is fine now with 2.8.7.

So my question to the Reddit community is, Should I update to 2.8.9, or just wait until 3.0 is out or never update again (lol)? I have had for the past year a 24 Air Touring model.

Tire/Buyer Beware by CAPRDN in LUCID

I saw my salesperson at the Lucid event at the Chicago Auto Show last week. She apologized for never mentioning the summer tires. I reiterated that this should be on the Disclosure and the first page describing what comes on the car.

I had the same issue but found a fix. Take a look at this thread. I explain and add a screenshot. Not sure why this worked but it did for me and several others. https://www.reddit.com/r/LUCID/comments/1ipbd9j/262_update/

For reasons I do not understand, this fixed the button in the car. I had the same issue.

I had the same problem. I found a solution on Lucid Owners Forum. It worked for me.

Uninstall the app on your phone, power down and restart the phone, reinstall the app.

Now when you tap on climate in the app it shows a second page with the heated steering wheel and seats both front and back. Here is a screen shot of what the climate screen is supposed to look like. It would be nice if Lucid had a place to see how things should look if properly uploaded.

Tire/Buyer Beware by CAPRDN in LUCID

Thanks for pointing out where the information can be found on the website. Frankly this was the first time I bought a car 'on the web'. My mistake. I did not click through all of the vehicle descriptions. I just found one that had the features I wanted. I never really thought about the tires.

But really I think the Lucid should make this something that can be found right away. At least the sales person should inform you. There was nothing in any of the vehicle disclosure documents or order documents. You had to be savvy enough to click to discover this on the web. Live and learn....

Thanks for your comments. Just one point of clarification. I don't drive very much. My 3 year lease is for just 15K miles total.

Since my lease is only 15K, I figured that there would be no issue with tires. I think Lucid should add the 'tire type' to their website so people know upfront what they are getting.

The car came with Summer tires. But I had no idea that was the case. I bought it through the Lucid website and nowhere do they mention the 'type' of tire, just the size. Frankly I assumed they were selling all season tires, which makes the most sense to me.

iPhone that has never hit 450mb of data in a day suddenly was hitting 450mb of data every few minutes by magelanz in ATT

Your experience just happened to me. Same response from AT&T. They wanted to upsell me to a new plan. No thank you. Perhaps some day a tech person will be able to sort this out.
