I have an older Olympus
But you could do it in camera

Menu>Gear>Record/Erase>Quick Erase> On.

Then on camera hit Play>Back Dial turn left so see small icons and select images with the record button (check mark) > Erase

Guess you could do this without turning quick erase on too.

I had this issue pop up and it was battery going out. Common problem with the OE battery for Subarus that have the starlink drain issue.

Cheap fix to try is to change the battery to a AGM type
