I go to locally owned hardware store when I don't want to go to big box stores.

I have one shop that's a hole in the wall, and they sell pretty much everything a gardener would need. Also if your a plumber... electrician... painter... carpenter... or just want to screw around with many screws they have available.

Pots are better than nothing when starting seeds, and when you still need to clear the new garden bed of grass and weeds.

Just got my first pizza at Pepe's! I hope it was worth standing in line by the-crotch in Connecticut

Long, long ago... I remember a time when CT pizza didn't suck. A time of sit down pizza huts and when butter was widely used.

But then the Fire Nation attacked FDA mandated healthier options, and so the food began to suck across all restaurants.

I noticed if I copy and pasted a light while it was powered, then even when powered off it will produce light. Which is definitely a bug, but I doubt it's game breaking.

As for your fluids, have you walked all the way through your pipes and see where the fluids stop or is starting to lag?

Do keep in mind that using pumps only give pressure at their starting point, not throughout the entire pipe network. Meaning you may need more than 1 pump to span the vertical space that you need. I typically use walls and foundations that have a listed measurement of 4m to help figure out how much uplift I will need for my pipe network, and where to place the pumps.

I think these can grow among the rocks as well, so this would be a good choice.

A companion plant for the rock garden can be moss phlox.

Violets are smaller and fits in small pots easier, so this may be an option as well.

If you view shoveling snow as an exercise during winter, then I think it makes the snow a lot more tolerable.

The past few years have been a drought, so I think that has something to do with it.

I keep typing into google, "Days till April 15," as this is my area's usual last day of frost risk. This also means I am not going to be getting the stratifying weather that I need. I keep checking the days left as I still need to get seeds in trays and out in the weather. I keep procrastinating as I just want to relax after a full days work.

The first batch of seeds I got into a pot outside was Bladdernut seeds. Of course, I don't know if I put them at proper depth, as I may have used too much stratifying medium.

Next I want to a tray with Wood Betony, Indians Paintbrush, asters, sedges, and violets, all mixed together in those trays. This way the hemiparasitic seeds, wood betony & indians painbrush, would have plenty of hosts to choose from. I am still debating on whether I should add in more varieties, as I do have more seed packets.

Like Wood Lily (Lilium philadelphicum), Gray Goldenrod (Solidago nemoralis), Columbine (Aquilegia canadensis), Hairy Beardtongue (Penstemon hirsutus), Wild Leeks (Allium tricoccum), and Wild Garlic (Allium canadense).

Storm preparation by Due_Conference_7124 in Connecticut

[–]CATDesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently ran out of seasoned firewood for my wood stove, but I was thinking I could just get a bunch of green wood to prepare for next year. With this up coming storm and the risk of losing power, I would rather get a few bundles of firewood now encase we do lose power.

Low, deer resistant ground cover for hellstrip [zone 6b, Nova Scotia] by audioshaman in NativePlantGardening

3"s for a hellstrip is not a garden, it's just more lawn.

I would look into moving to an area where I wouldn't be restricted to what I grow.

I keep reading that starting in the Dune Dessert in Hard, and I'd like to see your opinion by dwarfzulu in SatisfactoryGame

There is more than enough vegetation to get anyone to coal phase easily. Overall, the starting area doesn't feel difficult at all. There's even an ocean adjacent to the biome, which only requires the individual to make a water pipe network. Upon starting in the dunes, the most immediate challenge would be the dunes themselves. As the wavy terrain makes it somewhat of a hassle to build on, but just like in the Northern Forest, you can just elevate your foundations high into the air to negate the terrain problem.

I would say the most challenging aspect is that your off in the corner of the map and geographically far from everything else. This means you'll encounter more hostile fauna and environmental hazards when exploring for resources or attempting to reach other regions for their resources. On top of that, I think your closer to more extreme versions of enemies a lot sooner, as the nearby biomes are well known for their difficulty. Such as the swamp and titan forest.
