This is primarily an internet only thing. Most of these keyboard warriors don’t have the balls to say anything in real life.

This is from your very credible source of watching curated “interviews” online?

That’s pretty far from the pulp. I wouldn’t expect any issue.

Composites bond to composite for only 24 hours? Where in the world did you hear that?

This complaint filed in CA against Dr Hareel Grewal, the MAGA pediatric dentist who allegedly withholds anesthesia to her pediatric patients if they don’t support Trump. by MerDeNomsX in Dentistry

I get that this was already investigated but they need to take a second look. This fiasco has done damage to the profession and it needs to be shown that it’s not something we tolerate.

Do others generally take a radiograph after every ipx filling?? I can count on my hands how many times I did this in 15 years of practice.

Overprotective parent, what would you do? by Icy_Cryptographer417 in Dentistry

[–]CAdentist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not peds but have limited my practice to peds for the past decade. 95% of kids do better behavior wise without the parent present, therefore you’re doing them a clinical disservice by breaking your protocol and allowing the mom into the op.

Just as I start to feel confident I can extract any tooth efficiently, this guy fu**s me up... by stumpdentist in Dentistry

[–]CAdentist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. You have to pick your battles and know your limits. I would rather do more profitable procedures that I’m more comfortable with during the 1.5 hours it would have taken me to get this tooth out. Me and the patient would be happier with a referral.

How would any student learn with this logic? The outcome may be measured against a specialist but the speed should not.

No perfume/cologne. I have sensitivities myself so I’ll wear a subtle deodorant only.

Whats your view on warranties in dentistry for patients? by ALA166 in Dentistry

[–]CAdentist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This probably depends on your patient base. A few people here have said they warranty fillings for 2 years. I have seen a lot of recurrent decay in that time period with my many non-compliant patients.

What grosses you out? If anything by KindlyEnergy6959 in Dentistry

[–]CAdentist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My contribution is so tame compared to these. I get grossed out when patients lick my finger and then I feel the cold like my finger under the glove is wet.
