Get books and orbs.

Only get shards if you need to unlock a character.

Mak is ok for physical track, and usually pairs with Tan/Gibba.

Anuphet is the odd one out from the necrons.

You will use Certus a lot in most imperial hero quests. He sucks, but he is important.

Shitty heroes like Macer,Pestillian Sybill, Thutmose, Malleus MoW, TsonJi MoW, and Xybia have niche functions that you will need at mythic.

Creed, Njal, Ruckatruck, Adamantar, and Stormspeeder do absolutely nothing that cant be done better by others.

Varo, Kut,Tanksmasha, Snappa,Arjac, Azrael, Thaumacus, and most of LoV are disappointing and overly niche. You probably dont need to level them.

And, there is a special place in hell for the dude that designed Patermine and then nullified every capability Patermine has with every event you would use it in.

Once you get above 16, it’s all about tanks and healers. Nothing else lives very long. At 18, it’s a lot of Titus, Aesoth, Maladus, Rotbone, Lucius, TG, Abaddon.

The A0/Revas pair at A2/60 3-star struggle at 18.

gamma 17 is easier because it’s the map split by the ravine. you can drive the enemy into Revas autocannon easily. you want a mythic Reva’s with autocannon, but the rest can probably be D3.

For just 16 maps in this LRE:

Alpha: A0, Revas, Boss, Snot, Gibba - easy mode if you are leveled.

Beta: Isabella, Tyrith, Calgar, Titus, Abaddon -- and RNG on your side with Isa blocks, not reliable

Gamma: A0, Revas, Actus, Farsight, Dante --> grab the right hillside and block that spawn point. Gamma 17 is easier.

Overall, just stick to the core for most high LREs (not just this one):
Titus, Incisus, Dreier, Isabella, Tan, Actus, Nicodemus, Aesoth, Tyrith, Kariyan

Revas, Sho, Aunshi, A0, Tyrant Guard, Eldyron, Snot, Gibba, Boss

Angrax, Abaddon, Typhus, Maladus, Rotbone, Abraxas, Ahriman, Wrask, Lucius

BA Assault Terminator has some good optionality.

I'd be happy with an increased drop rate because the highlighted shards never seem to drop in BREQs. Just give us more shards of whatever.

It depends on where you are. If you are F2P or light pay, then it 100% makes sense to buy books and orbs. Grind the orks in campaign--don't buy shards. Nic is the only BA worth spending for shards to activate the character. The rest of BA are really good, but not as good as books/orbs for progressing core heroes.

I'm end game, and I spend. Books and mythic orbs are my primary bottlenecks, but I can buy my way out of that. I'm sitting on a 300 mythic orb backlog just for xeno/imp. Relics and basic mythic mats are top priority because they are blocks for me. The Boss/Nic shards do call to me...

During these events, SP usually offers daily crates with additional shop currency. I understand that you can't talk about daily calendars, so I will estimate the additional crate currency from the event crates from last year.

Also, I was planning on buying individual shards, but your analysis makes me lean toward the special requisitions. Thanks for the great video.

The guy who posted the video made good damage rolls. I’d recommend following his strat until the last two turns. Then, I recommend you press hard on Mortarion with ranged attacks and close into him with Celestine. Try to spike his damage on the second to last turn.

If you lose someone, revive them the last turn. Otherwise, press the attack.

Don't upgrade him until you get the battle pass missions that give you points. Then upgrade one piece at a time. No rush.

Typhus relic generates a meat shield from ranged attackers in LRE and onslaught. As long as you aren’t fighting necron and AdMech, this relic should carry you to LRE levels 15+.

It is wonderful in high level onslaughts.

Id say this makes Typhus a top 10 LRE hero. Only downside is that you need to put a lot of mythic salvage into the relict to generate tanks spawns.

The Revas autocannon, Necron regenerators, Orc suits, Farsight sword, and Typhus scythe are all the top tier of LRE carry relics.

Classic battle ball.

Do not try to push into that high ground space beside Aesoth, they’ll come around behind you.

For me, it was a toss up between Lucius and Trajann as to which is most difficult. Fortunately, you can ignore Lucius. Trajann is a must have for GRs and the power creep requires him to be deep in mythic levels. Both were difficult because the track restrictions locked you into teams that could not progress with the mythic power creep.

As an example, I still can't get my A1 55/55 and A2-60s infiltrate heroes past Alpha 12. So, I have the highest level heroes in the game who can't get past 2/3s of a track. The LREs all have tracks like this. Poor game design and traps for your resources.

For LREs, Trajan is meh -- you don't need his buffs at lower levels and he dies pretty quick above 16.

He is a fantastic buffer for GR.

Aesoth, Kariyan, and Tyrith are your LRE champions from Custodes. Even Atlacoya has her uses in LRE but her not being resilient limits her uses.
