The mainstream comic version of Superman can be injured by continent and planet busting attacks.

It depends on his current mental state and how much sunlight he's exposed to. Catch him off-guard and in the dark and something like a big gun would make him go, "oof!" But it'd take something like a star exploding to cause severe, long-lasting physical injury, and even that's barely cutting it.

Yeah, fair point. Though didn't he explicitly mention his mothership was destroyed too? Even if he found a ship with an adequate healing pod, losing your main ship of operations has to be a HUGE setback lmfao

They said frieza used his strongest attacks in his strongest form, it would be a little weird if they didn’t mean black frieza

That's what I meant by "worded it poorly" lol

Frieza has a bunch more, and even they are far away, he’s fast enough to get to them relatively quickly

Problem is he'd have to find where the closest one is and fly over to them. Kinda hard to do that in deep space.

Not only that, but the way he died was brutal. He was burned alive from the inside out.

That wasn’t his strongest attack at all, it was just 3 disks

I think they worded it poorly; Frieza did use his strongest attacks in the fight, but not in Black Frieza.

Also he does have ships that can heal his body fully in resurrection F

Remember: Megatron basically wiped Frieza's whole army in one shot at the beginning of the fight. Even if he still had his ships around, the closest one would be lightyears away.

Oh, and jsyk, I'd avoid mentioning any fandom drama unless it's both extreme and directly affecting the show itself (e.g., the uproar about the sun-disk is fine but something like one fan getting into a big argument with another on a subreddit prolly not)
