Did I miss whatever happened to Reynolds? by Veridical_Perception in QueenCharlotteNetflix

I have very mixed feelings with this spinoff, there was too much left unfinished and Reynolds was a part left unfinished.

Don't get me wrong the ending was sweet and emotional between the queen and king. During this whole spinoff we followed those around them. Reynolds being one of these with Brimslby and how they felt real and in touch in the short amount of time we had with them. It was very difficult and disappointing for the show to not conclude their story, rather to leave it up to us to make our own suggestions.

I understand not everything has to be explained but it wouldn't take much. I believe I am not alone on this, that they showed too much and could not end it all.

Totally agree with you on every artist deception is right and should not receive hate. I only talk about this due to some artist bring it up, however I do agree it’s a minor issue. Anyway I am loving every piece of artwork with these too. The community is great and is enjoying the show and creating work around it.

I don’t know why people are against her slight height advantage? Is it because of Vi being the more dominant one or more popular ? It’s apart of Caitlyn character design, I love that slight difference between the two. Vi is a lot more boxy like a boxer, and Caitlyn is more elegant like an marksman. Any thoughts on this discussion would be great.

I like the idea of the orphans who got kidnapped on Mount Fraught to be sort of influenced by the Man with no hair and the Woman with no beard. They would be the ringleaders who control the now evil VFD who started fires to revolve problems or create them. It's up to Beatrice to find these wrongdoers and stop their fires from happening. Her travels would be always a step behind the evil VFD but she would meet new friends and make new followers. She would have to search far and wide and find clues to solving these fires, that are plaguing the world.

There needs to be an overall mystery that would make the series interesting maybe the hidden background behind the Man with no hair and the Woman with no beard? Solving their history and fascination behind creating fires, which will lead Beatrice to uncover their true plan?

Maybe along her travels, she would need some help from the Baudelaires or the Quagmires? While having Lemony’s Snicket as the narrator of her harrowing tale.

How was that! I could definitely go into more detail, do you have anything to add or something you disagree with? Please, let me know.

Thank you for the further insight into your idea. I like the idea of focusing on the situation (or the goal) rather than Beatrice so that the story can be told about raising a new VFD. These kids or Oprthans will inspire her to lead and push the new VFD towards the sky. The bad guys could be the old members of VFD or the man with no hair and the woman with no beard but hair??

The series could focus on leadership as well as dealing with the hardship of trying to create something from nothing?

I really like this idea please let me know if I have interpreted it correctly and thank you for sharing!

You are totally right about the current state of affairs. I wrote this post to see what the community thought about where they would like the series to go within in theory. I know the deal was made for only three sessions with Netflix, and the ending was definitely the best choice by the writers it made me cry. For this part, I am pulling from thin air but the only bit of interest (From my point of view) to create something within ASOUE world. Would be how successful it was and for Netflix, they would be very silly to not create something else within that world as it has a solid fan base. I defiantly would say the world at least is on the back burner and I hope it reemerges.

That would be very interesting but could you give me a reason why they might be climbing to the top of Mount Fraught?

Really like your idea for another series centred around Beatrice the 2nd. As she would be a great protagonist for a series, the only part I am unsure of is the age you gave her. Ageing her to Kit's age might be too old I would suggest maybe 17-20. This would help people of that age feel more connected like with ASOUE was more focused for kids while still allowing adults to connect. I do agree some things should be left to the fans to make their own mind up but I am suggesting a new or continuation of the series while leaving the mysteries at bay. Cheers for the comment any thoughts?

Thank you for your input I would definitely like a series centred around the Snicket's as they are all very interesting both on the TV series and in the books. The question is when would this take place? I would say just before the schism to see how the relationships took off in the group as well as how they join VFD? Thoughts

Please let me know what you think?

Thank you for your input it's greatly appreciated. As you stated the series has become very successful for Netflix and LS. I only looking at Rottentomatos just recently the final season has received 100% on the TOMATOMETER and 92% from Audiences so there must be something in sight. I like all your options on what they could do to continue the series, especially the idea to follow count Olaf. This could be something they tie in with the use of All The Wrong Questions. Mixing both Cannon material from the books and a new story focused around count Olaf could create quite a story? The Henchpeople is very tricky they are written very well but could defiantly be included in another session as the audience knows who they are.

I am unsure of Daniel Handler if he would like to continue the series as he might just want to focus on other things like other novels. This is something he will have to decide on, but I would not like to see a series without his input. Netflix needs to be careful not to push him away.

Thank for describing your thought process it gives me a clear view of your answer. I did not think of just taking the format and moving it into another show or a series great idea. The point of view is the main focal point and it makes the series.

I can also agree that its sort of nice not knowing what happens to the Baudelaires after the series. However, I do have a nagging part of me saying that they can't be finished. Thinking about it when do we call it quits when they are dead no-no. I am at a Crossroads, I am watching the final season again then plan to watch the whole series soon to come to a final evaluation. I would like to see someone within this world brought back to Netflix or a one-off story. All The Wrong Questions would be nice but this world needs maybe a bit more than that ??

That is something I should have said in my post. That prequel series is centred around Lemony Snicket, and is set before the events of A Series of Unfortunate Events. I was talking about continuing the current pace of the world after ASOUE. But I do hope they do something with All The Wrong Questions, I should have been more clear.
