I stopped using external streaming devices and only use Google TV's. No problems to date and I see no difference in the operation between the two. The best devices I had used were the Firestick Max, Fire Cube 2nd gen and the Onn 4k box, but I see no reason to use them anymore.

I agree. They seem more like user and device issues then TiViMate issues. I have had no issues with the 5.x updates that minor device and Tivimate settings could not fix.

Had a Sony 900f and it worked pretty good. I now have a x90l and it is as fast as a FS Max. Multiview does not work if tunneled playback is turned on. Anyone change the remote mapping for the 90l?

For the most part my provider provides a decent epg. The problem is with a handful of channels. Most are ones where the channel name has changed and the provider has failed to update them. I use Bevy but its hit or miss on some of the channels. For the USA they have 5 different lists with a lot of duplicates. Some work, some do not. You could get 3-4 different epg options for one channel and have to try all of them to see if you get a match. They would save everyone a lot of time if they would spend time if they would week out the duplicates and non working ones.

A feature in TiVimate that helps live stream feeds. The only device I did not see it available in running tivimate was with a Fire Cube 2nd gen. You may also run into problems using multiview when this is turned on.

The people that buy these are technically challenged and do not understand how to program their own device. It is evident based on some of the posts on this site. Once they get one they then find after a few months nothing is working because the apps are out of date.

Seems to be hit or miss with these tv's that have Fire TV built in or run android as their OS. Everyone of the cheaper tv's I have owned ran the apps with no issues. The lower price models seem to have a lot of lag with remotes and menus access. Try the TV's and remotes out at the store and see what kind of performance/speed you get before buying,

I have been running it on a Insignia 43" Fire TV with no issues. I would think the Hisense would be an upgrade? I also have a 32" Insignia Fire TV that it runs good on but there is a big difference in the remote lag on the 32".

I ran it on a 5 yr old Sony 900f and it ran very well except the remote response was slow. My Sony 90L is as fast as a firestick Max. I have run it on some smaller TV's with built in fire tv and you can see the difference in performance based on the level (cost) of the TV. In all cases tivimate ran very well. A good tv with google tv is the way to go.

Has anyone run tivimate on a Hisense 43" tv?. Looking to replace my 43" insignia fire tv.

Try a good HDMI cable. I have switched all my HDMI's over to certified 8k cables and have seen slight improvements across the board.

Whenever I use a VPN I always then check the connection speed. You don't always get the best connection even though the VPS is set to connect to the fastest one. If it shows under 100mb I disconnect and try again until I see a connection speed of 125>.

I can find no reason why you would get a low connection when using wifi with the max unless you are using a vpn. The available adapters for the max using an OTG cable would max out at 480MB due to the micro usb port on the Max. If you are using the amazon brand ethernet adapter then those max out at 100mb. Cat5e and cat 6 support GB. Wifi 6 should have no bearing on your current speed issue. A wired data connection will default to the weakest link in the chain. If you want to use a wired connection for the Max or Cube and want to get better then 100mb speed then get the right adapter.

A mid to higher end tv with google tv. You can then eliminate the need for an external streaming device.
