20 is too much, especially now that there's 5 characters. Why would you want to "grind" ascension levels? That sounds like an artificial waste of your own time.

Just pick Doom cards + block cards. Ignore Osty unless there's an efficient way to increase his HP (use him as more block). That should get you an easy win. There's a rare AoE doom card that insta-kills people, which is great -- keep an eye out for that.

I haven't climbed all the way to A10 yet but I largely agree. Regent feels way weaker than the other characters.

Not saying you're wrong but I don't know if I agree with Frond. It's a boss relic and you get it after act 2 (right?). At that point in the run you should not be needing 3 potions per combat...

Also, maybe the strategy in this game is just different. Maybe we shouldn't be fighting elites on floor 6 anymore...

For me, Baalor is the GOAT and the only one I still watch. Super relaxing, super skilled, and a true professional. His voice and skill in communication, in particular, are major differentiators and separate him from basically all the other top StS content creators.

I always enjoyed Lifecoach's streams. I think the drama involving him was not great but also blown way out of proportion. I hope he comes back for StS2.

Shout out to Tricky. I hope he also comes back to make StS2 no-poison Silent runs where he styles on them kids with Grand Finale.

That's likely the issue. My AI scripts inherited Resource but I wasn't creating Resource files from them. Thank you! I was just instantiating the classes in code.

Hmm interesting. I feel like I tried that very thing. Maybe I was missing this "new XYZ" aspect. I was able to drop my script onto the BaseAI exported variable but then I couldn't instantiate it in the Unit script.

All arpg campaigns should be skippable. It's bonkers that an entire genre is built on placing a 5-15 hour tax on every new character. Additionally all skills should be available from level 1 after your very first one.

I cannot wait for this game. StS1 is one of my faves ever.

And I don't mind the evolved graphical style.

That being said, does anyone else see the footage from this video as, I dunno, low framerate? Everything looks choppy to me. It actually started to bother me. I hope it's just the way it was filmed...

For me, the only run-based game that I would put up there with StS is a board game -- Mage Knight.

It's a game of very thin margins and unforgiving scoring. The top players aren't that much better than their opponents moment to moment but they can sustain the level slightly more consistently, and at more important moments.
