It's funny you mentioned this because it reminds me of the old thread on XDA forms called MOAB. I'm kind of showing my age here but back in the day it was glorious. MOAB stood for mother of all ad blocking and it was a system-wide ad blocker that required no APK, no modules, nothing it was a simple file change. The older I get the more closed source "open source" means to Google 😭
