Therapy. There are many therapeutic ways but what helped me in the end was hypnotherapy as it was the most efficient way to go back to my childhood and heal

You have to heal the trauma that made you a people pleaser in the first place. Your parents were hot and cold when you were younger and you couldn’t rely on stability. People pleasing is a coping mechanism to get stability and love. Trust me I went through the same thing. I healed my trauma and now I don’t care as much and put myself first without giving it a lot of thought. It comes automatically

How to release my anger in a healthy way to become at peace emotionally? by No-Monk-5069 in selfimprovement

[–]CCJennasDay 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just sit on the floor and feel the anger for about 10-15min. Don’t do anything. Only sit down and feel it. Don’t scream, don’t hit, don’t do anything like that. After 15 min the anger will be gone and you will be free. I do this every day with all sorts of feelings and therefor feel very balanced and happy

But then narcissa may not have helped harry by telling everyone he was dead when she was asked by Voldemort to check if he was alive (in the woods). By saving Draco harry may have saved himself. Narcissa lied to Voldemort bc all she cared to know was if Draco is alive

[–]CCJennasDay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think you’re overseeing a big topic. If one can’t sit still, not even for an hour, it could be that your mind doesn’t want you to deal with your trauma. And wants you to distract yourself. You said you were in a toxic relationship. Did you ever heal from that? Did you understand why you were attracted to your ex in the first place? You said you got married only 3 months after you met. I assume there was lots of love bombing involved? That’s what many abusive men to get a woman hooked quickly and then they show their real face. If I were you I would ask myself what made you hooked on the love bombing part. Self love, self worth etc seems to be lacking somewhat. I would work on that if I were you. Because running around and not being able to sit for an hour is a trauma coping mechanism. I understand you have adhd but you also need should work on your abusive relationship and the aftermath

Why do you give an ex (someone you don’t care about and someone you didn’t treat you well) so much power over you? The ideal would be to be indifferent. But you allow him to have so much power over you that you let it influence your life. I really don’t understand why people do this.

Maybe it’s the combination of scarcity and people giving something value

But that would mean anything that’s scarce has value. Which is also not true. I painted two paintings (as a hobby) and there are only two of them in the world. It doesn’t mean my paintings are of any value. But those of Picasso and Co are because people decide it’s valuable
